WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The Pace University Volleyball team made an appearance at the John A. Coleman School on Wednesday, October 30 to celebrate Halloween at the school’s “Not So Scary, Boo Bash” on the school’s White Plains campus.

Each student-athlete was assigned to a classroom to interact with the children and bring them to the “Boo Bash”, a series of Halloween activities in the lobby of the school. The activities included cardboard haunted houses that were constructed by the Pace Baseball team on October 19 as a part of Pace Makes A Difference Day and the continuing partnership with the Coleman School.

The John A. Coleman School has campuses in Yonkers and White Plains. The school is a New York State approved program that offers exceptional educational opportunities to children with and without disabilities in a variety of center, home and community settings. The Pace Athletics Department has partnered with the Coleman School for the 2013-14 school year to bring student-athletes to their campus to facilitate activities with each classroom. The Pace Cheerleading squad kicked of the year at the Coleman School in September and taught the students a cheer the day before the first home football game of the 2013 season.

This was the first of two appearances for the Pace Volleyball team at the John A. Coleman School this semester. The team will visit the school during the month of December to facilitate holiday activities with each classroom. In addition, the team invited the students, teachers and staff to John A. Coleman School Night in the Goldstein Health and Fitness Center on November 15 as the team takes on Merrimack College at 7:00 p.m.
