American International, Saint Anselm to Meet in NE-10 Title Tilt on ESPN3

Behind junior guard Cameron Dobbs' (pictured) record-tying night, American International knocked off top-seeded Southern New Hampshire Wednesday night in Manchester, N.H. Dobbs made nine 3-point shots, becoming the third player to ever make that many in an NE-10 Tournament game, and scored 38 points to lead the Yellow Jackets to the upset win.

Meanwhile, across town, NE-10 Player of the Year, Chris Santo scored 33 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Hawks to a win over Saint Michael's. 

American International will head to Saint Anselm Saturday at 1 p.m. for the 2015 Northeast-10 Men's Basketball Championship title game, which can be seen on ESPN3 and at Northeast10.tv

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Cameron Dobbs went 9-11 from three-point land and totaled 38 points to lead American International, the No. 2 seed in the Southwest Division, to an 82-79 win over top Northeast seed Southern New Hampshire in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship Wednesday night at the SNHU Fieldhouse. 

The Yellow Jackets, the No. 2 team in the East Region, improve to 22-6 and advance to Saturday's title game, where they will face Saint Anselm. The Penmen (21-7), who entered the game as the top-ranked team in the region, must now wait until Sunday night for word of a probable NCAA at-large berth.

Dobbs tallied 28 of his 38 points in the first half as he went 8-9 behind the arc and 10-13 from the floor.  Bobby Harris notched 17 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Marcus Porter added 11 points and 12 rebounds.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - NE-10 Player of the Year, Chris Santo scored 33 points, including 15 at the free throw line, and grabbed ten rebounds to lead the Hawks to the 2015 Championship game, as Saint Anselm defeated Saint Michael's 80-68.

Saint Anselm defeated American International92-71 earlier this season, and as a result of that win, will host Saturday's title game.

The Purple Knights led 57-50 with just under nine minutes left in regulation, but the Hawks ended the game on a 30-11 run to advance to Saturday's title, which they wlll host by virtue of their win over American International earlier this season. Santo would score 14 of Saint Anselm's final 30 points to knock off an upset-minded Saint Michael's team that was playing its third game in six days.

James Cambronne was one of four players to score double figures as he had 19 points to lead Saint Michael's offensively

Saint Anselm improves to 19-8, while Saint Michael's falls to 18-11.
