NE10 Player of the Week
Matt Conti, Southern New Hampshire
Senior | Walpole, Mass.
Conti turned in a 3-under 141 to finish just one stroke back of the winner (a Division I player) at the Penmen Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, N.H. Conti shot an even-par 72 in the opening round and then stormed up the leaderboard on day two with a 3-under 69, as the Penmen also went from third to first over the final 18 holes to win the tournament.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Evan Rollins, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Laconia, N.H.
Rollins finished tied for fifth at the Penmen Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, N.H., totaling a 2-over 146. Rollins carded a 77 in the opening round and then really got it going on day two, firing a 3-under 69 that helped SNHU win the tournament by four shots.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Sean Magarian, Assumption (Jr.. - Worcester, Mass.)
Magarian put together a line of 70-74--144 (E) to finish third at the 84-golfer Penmen Invitational, leading the team to their second straight second-place finish.
Michael Sosik, Franklin Pierce (Sr. - Fiskdale, Mass.)
Turned in a line of 80-73--153 (+9) to finish tied-30th in the 84-golfer Penmen Invitational. Led the Ravens to an 11th-place finish in the 15-team field.
Robbie Forti, Saint Anselm (Jr. - Danvers, Mass.)
Forti posted a pair of 76's in the two rounds of the Penmen Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. He finished the event at eight-over par which was good for a tie for 25th on the leaderboard.
Jack Manning, Saint Rose (Sr. - Halfmoon, N.Y.)
Manning tied for ninth place among 84 competitors to lead Saint Rose at the Penmen Fall Invitational on the grounds of Beaver Meadow Golf in Concord, N.H. Manning finished at even par for Monday's first round and fired a 75 (+3) Tuesday for a two-day 147.
