Pace with League-High Six Selections.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had a remarkable 25 women's lacrosse players selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region teams on Wednesday – including 14 who earned First Team honors.
The IWLCA recognized 128 student-athletes in Division II with All-Region status. The entire pool of All-Region players are eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 22.
Pace, the reigning NCAA Division II national champion, had a league-best six selections to the All-Region teams – including four First Team picks. Adelphi was second with five selections, while Southern New Hampshire had four. Seven different NE10 institutions were represented overall.
Among the First Team selections were Bentley's Maeve Johnson (NE10 Attacker of the Year), as well as Pace's Angelina Porcello (NE10 Midfielder of the Year), Alexandra Quinn (NE10 Defensive PLayer of the Year) and Samantha Tanguay (NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year).
Overall, the NE10 tallied 25 All-Region selections out of a possible 32 in the East Region - nearly 80-percent of all honors.
