West Haven, Conn. - University of New Haven rising senior Ryan Brockett recently completed his second season with the North Fork Ospreys of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) and helped lead the team to the Hamptons Division Championship game.
Brockett also claimed the division's batting title, hitting .356 at the plate in 118 at-bats. The Guilford, Conn. native also drove in 14 runs, scored 19 runs and stole 13 bases in the team's 40-game season.
He boasted team-highs in batting average, hits (42), runs, stolen bases, walks (22) and on-base percentage (.466) as well. The Ospreys finished the season with an even 20-20 record and second in the Hamptons Division.
The short stop and second baseman was selected to the ACBL All-Star Team for the second consecutive year for his performance throughout June and July.
An All-Northeast-10 Conference performer last season, Brockett will help to anchor the Chargers' infield come February under new head coach Chris Celano.
