NE10 Men's Lacrosse NE10 Teams of the Week: Franklin Pierce, Saint Rose

Each week for the remainder of the spring we will honor the seniors from two NE10 men's lacrosse programs as our teams of the week for each player's dedication to their program and teammates.

Franklin Pierce

Coach Rick Senator on his senior class – "With a very large percentage of our team freshman and sophomores, there has never been a year where senior leadership was more crucial to our culture. And with only four seniors on our roster to start the season, this task was certainly tall. However, the leadership that was provided by our seniors in taking ownership of this assignment was remarkable. Our seniors cultivated an environment for our younger team members that furnished a deep sense of belonging but at the same time demanded commitment, loyalty, trustworthiness, and discipline. As we all know, this final chapter to their story at Franklin Pierce was cut short. However, it does not take away from the experience that was captured as a student-athlete at Franklin Pierce University, and does not take away from the experience they shared with their teammates. The class of 2020 will certainly be missed, and we wish them all the best in the future."

Season Recap
The Ravens opened their season with two impressive victories, taking down Dominican 16-4 and Post 17-6 to finish 2020 with a 2-0 record. Colin Doherty scored three times while Caskie had five caused turnovers on the season. Chris Breault and Derek Short have combined for six ground balls three caused turnovers.

Saint Rose

Coach Jim Morrissey on his senior class – "The 2020 Saint Rose men's lacrosse senior class was absolutely on the verge of really taking our program to new heights. Through their four years of dedication and hard work each one of them was playing at their full potential when the season had suddenly come to a halt. We have all been through many ups and downs together since their freshman year and to see their maturity level now as seniors really made me proud to coach this group of young men. They will surely be missed but not forgotten and its disappointing that they weren't able to complete their Saint Rose lacrosse journey but I know they will handle this well and look on the positive side of things when it is all said and done."
