NE10 Player of the Week

Ivan Bernal, Franklin Pierce
Sophomore | Madrid, Spain

Bernal recorded a 2-1 mark in doubles play and a 3-0 mark in singles competition at the Merrimack Tournament last weekend. He teamed up with Kevin Denecheau, as the pair went on to defeat their opponents from Boston University (6-4) and Holy Cross (6-2), and fell to their Merrimack competitors (4-6). In singles play, the sophomore defeated all three of the opponents he faced, winning 6-4, 6-3 over his Holy Cross opponent, 7-6(3), 7-5 over his Boston University opponent and 6-4, 7-6(4) over his Merrimack competitor.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Noah Monsanto, Bentley
Freshman | Woodbridge, N.J.

Monsanto went 4-0 on the week, winning both of his matches in Bentley victories over Nichols and Emerson. Against Nichols he won in No. 5 singles (6-4, 6-4) and against Emerson he was victorious in No. 4 (6-1, 6-2). Both of his doubles wins were in No. 3, with fellow freshman Reilly O'Brien

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Louis Coppi, Stonehill (So. - Paris, France)
Coppi was a double-winner in the Skyhawks 7-2 win at Clark in their lone match of the week. He opened the match by teaming up with freshman Guillaume Duhil de Benaze for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Coppi followed that up by earning Stonehill's first singles point with his 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 4 against Josh Podolsky.

Trent Newman, Stonehill (5th Year - Old Greenwich, Conn.)
Newman was a double-winner in the Skyhawks lone match of the week, a 7-2 win at Clark. He and junior Luke Nickerson started with an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, before Newman provided the match clinching point with his 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles against freshman Ryan Hovey.
