NE10 Recognizes 130 Student-Athletes on Spring Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2022 spring season on Wednesday morning, as the league recognized 130 outstanding student-athletes from 10 sports for their academic and athletic excellence.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution had at least one student-athlete named to the Academic All-Conference teams this spring. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Adelphi led all NE10 institutions with 21 Academic All-Conference selections, including a league-high number of honorees in baseball (3), softball (3), women's lacrosse (5), women's outdoor track & field (3) and women's tennis (3). Southern New Hampshire ranked second with 18 selections, while Le Moyne came in third with 17 honorees. 

Women's lacrosse led all spring sports with 25 student-athletes apiece named to its Academic All-Conference team, while baseball and softball each had 18. 

Four student-athletes - Assumption's Samantha Leary (women's golf), Bentley's Cara McCarthy (women's lacrosse) and Southern Connecticut's Elaina DiSalvo and Christopher LeBeau - were named Academic All-Conference for the third time in their respective sports. Among the 130 student-athletes recognized, 36 of them were also honored in 2020-21.

Additionally, nine NE10 major award winners are included on the Academic All-Conference teams: Adelphi's Matt Alifano (Baseball Southwest Division Player of the Year), Kailey Broderick (Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year), Claire Fon (Softball Pitcher of the Year) and Joe Duchnowski (Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year), as well as Le Moyne's Frank Delia (Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Year) and Jacob Marshall (Baseball Southwest Division Pitcher of the Year), Southern New Hampshire's AJ Cavotta (Men's Golf Player of the Year) and Ashley Corcoran (Track Athlete of the Year) and Stonehill's Lydia Rudden (Women's Lacrosse Attacker of the Year).
