NE10 Player of the Week

Marko Jovanovic, Adelphi
Freshman | Belgrade, Serbia

Since the start of the spring season, Jovanovic remains perfect in singles play. In a 5-2 loss to regional powerhouse Queens last Tuesday, Jovanovic overcame a first-set deficit and lost only four games the rest of the way in a 4-6. 6-1. 6-3 victory at the top flight. Then, in Saturday's conference opener vs. Saint Michael's, he won comfortably in straight sets (6-1, 6-2) and dropped only three games in the process. Overall this week, he was 3-1 at No. 1 singles and doubles.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Alan Nguyen, Assumption (So. - Reading, Mass.)
Nguyen won both of his singles and doubles matches convincingly in a 5-2 win over Clark to begin the spring. After teaming up with Ethan Hall for a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles, he also triumphed in straight sets at No. 3 singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-2.

Gabe Horwitz, Bentley (So. - Lake Oswego, Ore.)
Horwitz went 1-2 in singles with a win in No. 3 (6-0, 6-0) against Scranton and 2-1 in doubles. He won in No. 1 doubles against St. Lawrence (6-2) and in No. 2 against Scranton (8-0).

Jason Boucher, Saint Michael's (Jr. - Bedford, N.H.)
Boucher turned in a 3-1 record during a pair of matches last week. In an 8-1 win at Clark on Wednesday, he won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles before claiming a 6-0, 6-2 No. 4 singles win. During a 6-1 loss at regionally-ranked Adelphi on Saturday, Boucher rallied for a 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles following a 6-3 loss at No. 2 doubles.
