23 Northeast-10 Student-Athletes Qualify for Outdoor Track and Field Nationals

MANSFIELD, Mass. - 23 student-athletes, representing eight different Northeast-10 Conference member institutions, have qualified for the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

14 female student-athletes and nine male student-athletes will be heading to Allendale, Michigan to take part in the three-day event, which begins on Thursday, May 21 and runs through Saturday, May 23.

The NE-10's best chance for a national title may be on the women's side as New Haven's Ada Udaya, pictured, is the top seed in the 200m dash (23.27) and the fourth seed in the 100m dash. Merrimack's Carly Muscaro will head into the women's 400m dash with the top seed time of 51.83, and will look to bring home a title, as well.

Adelphi, American International, Assumption, Franklin Pierce, Merrimack, New Haven, Southern Connecticut, and Stonehill will each have at least one student-athlete competing during the championships. Adelphi, American International, and Southern Connecticut will each have representatives competing from both their men's and women's program.

Southern Connecticut's Shatajah Watterly was the only runner in the conference to qualify in three different events. She'll be competing in the 100m dash, the 200m dash, and also be a part of the Owls' 4x400m relay team that won the title at the Indoor Track and Field Championships.

All total, seven different student-athletes qualified in more than one event.
