NEW HAVEN, Conn. - University of New Haven women's track and field senior sprinter, Ada Udaya has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II National Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 11.
Also named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Track
Athlete of the Week, this marks Udaya's second national player of
the week honor of her career.
Udaya ran the best times in NCAA Division II in both the
60-meter and 200-meter dashes at the Yale Collegiate Classic on
Saturday, Jan. 10. Udaya earned an NCAA Division II automatic
qualifying time in the 60m with a mark of 7.33 seconds, the fastest
regular season time since 2013-14. In the 200m, she won in a time
of 24.04 seconds.
Udaya also aided the New Haven effort in the 4x400 relay as the squad placed second with a 3:50.14 clocking.
