MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Championship continued on Saturday, with the biggest surprise of the day coming when the Northeast Division's No. 6 seed Franklin Pierce edged the Southwest Division's No. 3 seed Adelphi in first round play. The Ravens were one of three teams to punch their quarterfinal tickets for Monday.
The NE10 Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinals are scheduled for Monday. All games throughout the Championship will be streamed live and for free on NE10 NOW - the Conference's digital streaming platform.
No. 7 Stonehill 5, No. 2 Saint Anselm 4 (OT) - Box Score
MANCHESTER, N.H. - In a game that saw three lead changes and two ties, it was the Stonehill Skyhawks who prevailed in an overtime thrilling first-round Northeast-10 Conference playoff matchup against Saint Anselm by a score of 5-4 Saturday evening at the Sullivan Arena. Mike Seoane scored the overtime game-winner for the Skyhawks to propel them to the NE10 Championship semifinals on Tuesday against No. 3-seeded Assumption.
Five different players scored for Stonehill, while goaltender John Day made 35 stops in the victory.

- The Lead: The number three-seeded Assumption men's ice hockey team started their playoff run on Saturday evening with a thrilling matchup versus the sixth seeded Franklin Pierce Ravens. The Hounds took a 3-0 early in the game with the Ravens storming back thanks to two power play goals - sending the game into overtime where the Hounds found the winner halfway through the sudden death period to send them into the semifinals of the NE10 playoffs.

SHELTON, Conn. - The Post men's hockey team rallied from an early one-goal deficit and scored twice in the third period to defeat Saint Michael's, 3-1 in the first round of the Northeast-10 (NE10) tournament on Saturday evening at The Rinks at Shelton.
The Eagles, seeded fourth, are now 10-14-1 overall. It was the first NE10 Championship win for the Eagles in program history.
"Today was a great milestone for our program," head coach Pete Whitney said. "It was of course very satisfying earning the first playoff win in the history of the program. More impressive for me was how the team reset and focused after the first period and then took charge the next two periods."
