WOMEN'S SOCCER

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Saint Rose vs. Grand Valley State: Dec. 11 – 2:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

For the second time in program history, Saint Rose has advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship to play a familiar foe in Grand Valley State on Saturday afternoon at Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Golden Knights earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Dallas Baptist in the NCAA semifinals on Thursday afternoon to earn their chance at the program's second-ever national title.

Saint Rose last won the NCAA title in 2011 under head coach Laurie Darling Gutheil by defeating Grand Valley State in Pensacola, Fla. Despite their only national title coming against Grand Valley State, the Golden Knights have also suffered heartbreak at the hands of the Lakers – losing to them on two different occasions (2009, 2019) and tying once (2014 – GVSU advanced on penalty kicks) in three national semifinal matchups. Saint Rose is the only NE10 institution to win an NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Championship in the Conference's history.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Dominican (NY) at Adelphi: Dec. 11 – 2:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

Adelphi will host No. 14 Dominican (NY) on Saturday afternoon at the Center for Recreation and Sport in Garden City, N.Y., as the Panthers (6-2, 2-2 NE10) look to secure a big non-conference win against a ranked opponent. After starting the season with eight-straight wins, Dominican (8-1) dropped its first game at home against Southern New Hampshire on Thursday night.

Led by Ronnie Silva, the reigning NE10 Player of the Week, Adelphi has won four of its last five games and will try to bounce back after a home loss to Pace on Tuesday night. Silva is averaging 16.5 points this season – one of three Adelphi players to be averaging double-digits in scoring.

Franklin Pierce at Bentley: Dec. 12 – 2:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

Two of the top teams in the NE10's Northeast Division will meet on Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center, as Franklin Pierce (4-3, 2-1 NE10) travels to play Bentley (6-1, 3-1 NE10). The Ravens will look to snap the Falcons' four-game winning streak on its home floor and are led by Isaiah Moore – the league's leading scorer with 25.3 points per game.

As a team, Bentley is leading the NE10 in points per game (88.1), field goal percentage (49.1), three-point field goal percentage (44.8), assists per game (18.7) and blocks per game (6.0). Jordan Mello-Klein leads all Bentley players with 16.6 points per game and has a league-best 6.6 assists per contest this season. Franklin Pierce has lost to Bentley in five of the past six meetings.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Pace at Dominican: Dec. 10 – 6:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

Pace (6-1, 4-0 NE10) will get a tough test on Friday night when it visits Dominican (NY) in a non-conference road matchup. The Setters have started the season as one of the hottest teams in the NE10, winning its first four league contests and earning six victories in seven games overall. The Chargers (6-3, 1-1 CACC) started the season with a 5-0 record before dropping three of their last four.

The Setters are led by Lauren Schetter, who ranks first in the NE10 in points per game (21.4) and sixth in rebounds per game (9.7). Pace's defense has been the biggest strength this season, as it is allowing a league-low 52.7 points per game (54.8 in conference games) and ranks second in defensive rebounding (31.3 per game).

Saint Anselm at Franklin Pierce: Dec. 12 – 2:00 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

Coming off an incredible 40-point, 13-rebound performance in a win over Stonehill, Peyton Steinman leads Saint Anselm on Sunday into an NE10 road contest against in-state foe Franklin Pierce. Steinman, the reigning NE10 Player of the Week, and the Hawks will first host Felician on Friday night in non-conference play.

Franklin Pierce (5-3, 1-1 NE10) is coming off a road loss at Bentley and is led by Emma Carter, who is averaging 20.3 points per game. Saint Anselm (4-4, 1-2 NE10) recently defeated reigning NE10 champion Stonehill to snap a two-game skid. The Hawks have won the last nine meetings with the Ravens.

ICE HOCKEY

Rivier at Post: Dec. 10 – 7:30 p.m. (Live StatsVideo)

Post (3-5, 3-2 NE10) will take on Rivier in non-conference action on Friday night, as the Eagles look to keep rolling in their second season as an NE10 associate member. The Eagles have won two of their past three games – both against NE10 opponents – and most recently knocked-off reigning league champion Stonehill by a 4-2 margin.

Two years after finishing in last place of the NE10 standings, Post currently sits in second with a 3-2 record. Kieran Gardner is leading the team with seven points scored this season, while Brandon Brown is the NE10 leader in saves with 251.
