Le Moyne with League-High Six Players Earning Five Selections on NE10 First Team.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi's Marko Jovanovic and Southern New Hampshire's Jesse Den Hartog both earned a share of the Vern Cox Men's Tennis Player of the Year award, as the Northeast-10 Conference announced its All-Conference honors on Wednesday afternoon.

It is the first time in 28 years that the NE10 has recognized Co-Players of the Year in men's tennis, dating back to 1995 when Bentley's Greg Bowser and Merrimack's Mark Comforth accomplised the feat. Jovanovic and Den Hartog led their respective teams to a share of the NE10 regular season title with 5-1 conference records.

For a complete list of All-Conference recipients, please see below.

Le Moyne - the top seed in the NE10 Men's Tennis Championship - had a league-high seven players earn nine All-Conference selections at singles and doubles, including six players tallying five selections on the All-Conference First Team. Adelphi ranked second with five players earning five selections, while Southern New Hampshire and Saint Michael's tied for third with three players and three selections.

Jovanovic went 5-1 at No. 1 singles this season for Adelphi, leading the Panthers to their first-ever NE10 regular season title. He becomes the first Adelphi player since Matteo Cannavera (2015, 2016) to earn Player of the Year honors and is the third Panther to ever win the award (also Andreas Hammar in 2012). Jovanovic was also a First Team selection at No. 1 singles and a Second Team selection at No. 3 doubles. Adelphi enters the NE10 Men's Tennis Championship as the No. 2 seed and will host No. 3-seeded Southern New Hampshire in the semifinals on Thursday.

Den Hartog boasted a 4-0 record at No. 1 singles and a 5-1 record overall for Southern New Hampshire, leading the Penmen to a share of the NE10 regular season championship. He is the second-straight SNHU athlete to win Player of the Year (Jonathan Berling in 2022) and the third in the past four years (Tiago Fernandes, 2017-19). Den Hartog was also a First Team selection at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles - one of only two players to earn multiple First Team selections.

Adelphi's Viktor Hockl earned NE10 Rookie of the Year honors after going 3-1 in singles and 1-0 in doubles against conference opponents this season, leading him to a Second Team selection at No. 4 singles and a place on the All-Rookie Team. Cannavera was the last Adelphi player to win Rookie of the Year in 2015. A freshman from Enns, Austria, Hockl only conference loss came in three sets to Le Moyne's Kacper Piekarek - a First Team selection at No. 4 singles.

For the third-straight season and fourth time overall, Le Moyne's Jeff Lonczak has been named the NE10 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year, as he led the Dolphins to a share of the NE10 regular season title and the top seed in the Men's Tennis Championship. Le Moyne had a 21-match win streak against NE10 opponents before a 4-3 loss on the road at SNHU on April 12. Lonczak becomes the first coach to win NE10 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year in three consecutive seasons.

Only Den Hartog and Piekarek earned First Team honors in both singles and doubles. Overall, there were six players who earned recognition at both singles and doubles on the All-Conference teams.

The NE10 Men's Tennis Championship continues on Thursday with the semifinals, as Le Moyne hosts Saint Michael's and Adelphi welcomes SNHU. For the full schedule and all other championship information, click HERE
