Top Three Finalists Announced for NE10 Man and Woman of the Year Awards

NE10 Banquet is on Sunday, June 4.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Of the 27 institutional nominees for both the Northeast-10 Conference Man and Woman of the Year awards, the lists have been narrowed down to three finalists each, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Finalists for the NE10 Man and Woman of the Year awards represent six different schools and seven different sports. The announcement of award recipients will be made the night of Sunday, June 4, as part of the NE10 Banquet hosted by Pace University. 

The NE10 Man and Woman of the Year awards honor student-athletes for their excellence in competition, in the classroom and in the community. The Woman of the Year award winner will be forwarded to the NCAA for their National Woman of the Year award, serving as the NE10's nomination.

Each of the league's 13 member institutions nominated at least one student-athlete for each award and the list of 27 nominees was released on May 16.

NE10 Man of the Year Finalists

Tom Jarry, Le Moyne
Sport: Men's Tennis
Undergraduate Major: Finance
Undergraduate GPA: 3.3
Graduate Major: MBA in Leadership and Management
Graduate GPA: 3.5

Jarry has been a standout tennis player at Le Moyne. A seven-time All-Conference selection, Jarry has helped the Dolphins win two NE10 Championship titles during his time with the program. He has served as team captain for each of the past three years, while Le Moyne won three consecutive NE10 regular season championships. In addition to his performance on the court, Jarry has been a star in the classroom - recently completing his MBA (focus on Leadership and Management) with a 3.5 GPA. He also has served the community by organizing a charity fundraiser through his tennis club for "Vaincre la Mucovicidose" which raises money for cystic fibrosis.  

Mitchell McCabe, Pace
Sport: Baseball
Undergraduate Major: Business Management
Undergraduate GPA: 3.9
Graduate Major: Marketing Analytics
Graduate GPA: 3.84

McCabe had a remarkable spring season at Pace - collecting the NE10's Elite 24 Award while leading the baseball program to its first-ever NE10 Championship title - as he completed his graduate work with a near-perfect 4.0 GPA. He was a multi-year team captain for the Setters and is a three-time All-Conference selection. He has served in numerous capacities when it comes to community service - participating in "Pace Makes a Difference Day" on four occasions - while helping other organizations and initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity, Chelmsford Youth Baseball Development Camps and the Annual Hampton Beach Children's Festival. 

Andrew Andary, Saint Anselm
Sport: Ice Hockey
Undergraduate Major: Criminal Justice
Undergraduate GPA: 3.56

Andary, a two-time team captain for the Saint Anselm men's ice hockey program, helped the Hawks to win their first NE10 Championship title this year since the 2017-18 season. He is also a three-year participant on the Saint Anselm Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and has helped foster the ice hockey program's partnership with Team IMPACT by partnering with an honorary team member. Andary has given his time for the Manchester Marathon as well as a fundraising walk for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was named the NE10 Player of the Year in 2022 and is a two-time All-Conference selection. 


NE10 Woman of the Year Finalists

Camryn DeBose, New Haven
Sport: Women's Basketball
Undergraduate Major: Psychology
Undergraduate GPA: 3.95
Graduate Major: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology
Graduate GPA: 4.00

In the classroom, New Haven's Camryn DeBose is unmatched - as she recently completed her graduate work with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology. In addition to her outstanding course work, DeBose is a multi-year captain of the women's basketball team and was selected to the All-Conference First Team and All-Defensive Team following the 2022-23 season. She has been involved in a variety of community projects, including for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a fundraiser for Alzheimer's and tutoring at a local middle school. DeBose is a member of the School President Advisory Board on campus and has served as a secretary for New Haven's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Olivia Strelevitz, Southern Connecticut
Sport: Swimming & Diving
Undergraduate Major: English
Undergraduate GPA: 3.903

Strelevitz has been a two-year captain for the SCSU women's swimming & diving program, which has won the NE10 Championship in each of the past three years. In addition to her outstanding work in the classroom and the pool, she has used her swimming skills to serve her community, as Strelevitz dedicates her time to teaching water safety to second grade students at a local YMCA, while coaching a similar age group through USA Swim Coach. Strelevitz is a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) on campus and served as vice president in her senior year. She served as a First-Year Admissions Student Ambassador on university event days (Open House, Preview Day, Admitted Students Day) and helped to coordinate the tour routes and schedules. 

Ashley Corcoran, Southern New Hampshire
Sport: Cross Country/Track & Field
Undergraduate Major: Business Administration
Undergraduate GPA: 3.81
Graduate Major: MBA
Graduate GPA: 4.00

Corcoran has enjoyed a remarkable athletic career during her time at SNHU. Overall, she led the Penmen to four NE10 Championship titles (Cross Country in 2022, Indoor Track & Field in 2023, Outdoor Track & Field in 2022 and 2023) - while winning a myriad of individual titles in cross country and track & field. She was named Women's Athlete of the Year in cross country and Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year during the 2022-23 academic year, while also earning Women's Track Athlete of the Year in both indoor and outdoor in 2021-22. Corcoran is a three-time USTFCCCA All-American, including a pair of First Team honors. In addition to her athletic accolades, Corcoran is a four-time selection for the NE10 Sport Excellence Award. She has served on SNHU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) since 2019 and served as campus captain for "The Hidden Opponent" - a non-profit working to break the stigma of mental health in athletics.

The NE10 is an association of 13 diverse institutions serving student-athletes across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Together we build brilliant futures by embracing the journey of every student-athlete.
