Three Men's and Women's Tennis Programs Selected to Compete in NCAA Division II Championships

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The NCAA revealed its selections for the Division II Men's & Women's Tennis Championships on Monday night and the Northeast-10 Conference had three programs selected - including Southern New Hampshire's men's and women's teams, the reigning NE10 champions following the 2022-23 regular season. Joining both SNHU programs is the Le Moyne men's tennis team, which qualified for its fourth NCAA Championship in program history. 

The NCAA Divison II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee selected 48 teams that will be participating in the championships. Preliminary rounds will be played at 16 regional sites for the Men's Championship on April 28-29 and for the Women's Championship on May 1-2. The winning team from each site will advance to the finals - May 11-15 (men) and May 12-16 (women) in Orlando, Fla. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts. 

The NCAA DII Men's Tennis East Regional begins on Friday at Queens (NY) and Jefferson. SNHU enters as the No. 3 seed and will take on Jefferson, with first serve scheduled at 1 p.m. Le Moyne, the No. 5 seed, will play St. Thomas Aquinas in Flushing, N.Y., with first serve at 2:15 p.m. 

SNHU edged Le Moyne, 4-2, in the NE10 Men's Tennis Championship on Sunday in Syracuse, winning its first league title since 2019. The Penmen finished with a 14-5 record (5-1 NE10) this season and earned its 10th berth to the NCAA Championship. Le Moyne earned its third-straight trip to the NCAA Championship after a 13-4 (5-1 NE10) season and finishing as runner-up at the NE10 Championship.

The NCAA DII Women's Tennis East Regional begins on Monday at Wilmington (Del.) and St. Thomas Aquinas. SNHU enters as the No. 4 seed and will take on the District of Columbia, with first serve scheduled at 12 p.m. in Wilmington, Del. 

SNHU held off Franklin Pierce, 4-3, to win the NE10 Championship for the first time since the 2012-13 season and was selected for the NCAA Championship for the seventh time in program history. The Penmen finished with a 14-3 record (9-0 NE10) this season and earned an NCAA berth for the first time since 2017.
