Saint Rose's Erika Fuentes Leads The Field With a 74

CONCORD, N.H. – Two-time defending champion Franklin Pierce is poised to claim an NE10 Title threepeat as the Ravens shot a 314 to take a 19-stroke lead on Saturday at the Beaver Meadow Golf Course on the opening day of the NE10 Women's Golf Championship. 

Franklin Pierce boasted four players in the top seven to grab an impressive lead, led by Alia Godek and Kesinee Prukmathakul who both shot an opening round 78. Kayla Schuberth and Phisonlaya Ruayruen are tied for seventh as each shot a 79.

Individually, Saint Rose sophomore Erika Fuentes shot an NE10-best 74 to finish +2 on the day, while Southern New Hampshire's Anna Casagrande is two shots back with a 76. Sloane Van Zanen of Stonehill and Le Moyne's Mia Avontins are tied for third with a 77. 

Le Moyne sits in second place with a 333 overall while Assumption is four shots back with a 337 and Stonehill rounds out the top four with a 338. 

Day 2 of the NE10 Women's Golf Championship is scheduled for Sunday with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.
