NE10 Player of the Week
Anna Casagrande, Southern New Hampshire
Senior | Pelham, Mass.
In the final event for SNHU women's golf, Casagrande fired an 80-81=161 to finish 29th out of 52 golfers over the weekend at the UHartford tournament in Connecticut. In a field loaded with Div. I golfers, Casagrande was the highest Div. II finisher in the field. Casagrande will await word later this month if she qualifies for the NCAA East Regional.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Mia Avotins, Le Moyne
Freshman | Liverpool, N.Y.
Avotins earned medalist honors at the Dr. Edwin Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester University on Monday and Tuesday with a 160 to win by six shots. She opened with a 79 to place first after the initial round and followed up with an 81 to hold on to a six-shot lead.
