NE10 Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Jacob Logan, Southern N.H.
Graduate Student | Norwood, Mass.
Logan won the Shacklette Invitational Saturday at Saint Anselm College. His time of 27:54.5 helped lead the Penmen to victory in the race.
NE10 Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Ashley Corcoran, Southern N.H.
Graduate Student | East Longmeadow, Mass.
For the third consecutive time, SNHU and Ashley Corcoran opened the season with a win at the Shacklette Invitational at Saint Anselm College. Corcoran ran the course in 24:14.9, winning the race by about 35 seconds.
NE10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Adam Zelin, Adelphi
Junior | Shoreham, N.Y.
Zelin ran the fastest time for the men's 8K this weekend at the Panther XC Invite, helping the men's squad to a third place finish. Clocking in at 27:11.9 to place eighth overall, he averaged 8:48.4 per mile.
NE10 Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Michaella Namiotka, Assumption
Freshman | Holden, Mass.
Namiotka finished 11th at the Keene State Invitational (2-Mile) with a time of 12:37.30.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Katherine Marsh, Adelphi (Sr. - East Meadow, N.Y.)
Marsh placed second overall at the Panthers XC Invite, clocking in at 19:36.1 for her career-best time on the 5K course at Bethpage State Park. With a one-two punch from her sister Isabel finishing a second behind her, the Panthers were able to capture the team title for the second time since 2019.
Claudio Rocha, Assumption (Sr. - Peabody, Mass.)
Won the Keene State Invitational (5K) with a time of 15:25.9.
Peri Snow, Assumption (Sr. - East Bridgewater, Mass.)
Won the Keene State Invitational (2-Mile) in 11:31.50
Caitlin Burmester, Bentley (So. - Willow Grove, Pa.)
At Suffolk's Short Course Classic at Franklin Pierce, Burmester was 31st overall and third among non-Division I runners with a time of 12:04.1 over the 3.1K course.
Brice Tolan, Bentley (Sr. - Abington, Mass.)
Ran a 5k time of 18:04 to take first place, as the Ravens hosted the Bruce Kirsh Cup. Led Franklin Pierce to a second-place finish at the meet.
Matt Bartolotta, Le Moyne (R-So. - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Bartolotta placed second in 21:00.7 to lead the Dolphins to a third-place finish at the 6K Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational.
Cameron Cortez, Le Moyne (Sr. - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Cortez placed eighth in a career-best 16:16.9 to lead the Dolphins to a third-place finish at the 4K Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational.
Noah Taracena, Saint Michael's (Jr. - Hampton, N.H.)
Taracena finished second among 31 runners in Saint Anselm's Shacklette Invitational 8K race on Saturday, clocking in at 28:19.
