NE10 CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS | CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
Penmen Win First-Ever NE10 Title.
COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Southern New Hampshire women's cross country team won the program's first-ever NE10 Cross Country Title on Sunday on the campus of Saint Michael's College.
SNHU finished with 39 points overall to defend its first-place Pre-Championship Poll ranking. The Penmen were led by senior Ashley Corcoran, who claimed individual champion honors with a time of 21:26.7. She was joined by two additional teammates in the top seven, Kelsey Seamans (22:45.3) and Hannah Bradbury (23:11.2). Adelphi was the runner-up with a team score of 82 and was led by Katherine Marsh who clocked in at 22:38 to take third.
Fransiscah Cherotich of American International was the second runner to cross the finishline as the defending individual champion with a time of 21:44.7. She was followed by Marsh (Adelphi) in third, Seamens (SNHU) in fourth and Briana Grecco of Southern Connecticut in fifth (22:53.1).
Following the race, Franklin Pierce's Alena Masterson was awarded the NE10 Elite 24 award for the fourth year in a row with the highest GPA of all competing athletes with a 4.0.
