NE10 Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Wondu Summa, Franklin Pierce
Junior | Burlington, Vt.
Posted a 5K time of 14:40 to win the 96-runner CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday, and lead the Ravens to a fifth-place finish (of 12). It was his fourth straight victory.
NE10 Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Ashley Corcoran, SNHU
Graduate Student | East Longmeadow, Mass.
Ashley Corcoran won the Adelphi Short Course Showdown, and the Penmen finished as the top team at Friday's event. Corcoran ran the 5k in 18:03.4, winning by 27 seconds. The time was the second-fastest in program history behind only her run earlier this season at UMass-Dartmouth.
NE10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Dillon Labonte, SNHU
Freshman | Lee, N.H.
Dillon Labonte finished second among SNHU runners for the fourth consecutive meet, finishing in third place at Friday's Adelphi Short Course Showdown. He ran a 15:27 for the 5K.
NE10 Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week
Corrina Obernesser, SNHU
Freshman | Westminster, Colo.
Corrina Obernesser was the top freshman in the field at Friday's Adelphi Short Course Showdown, won by the Penmen. Obernesser finished 23rd in 20:36 for the 5K.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Diego Llanos, Adelphi (So., Fresh Meadows, N.Y.)
Diego Llanos led the Panther harriers once more, clocking in at 15:39.2 to place eighth overall to be the lone member of Adelphi to land in the top-15 at the Short Course Showdown.
Katherine Marsh, Adelphi (Sr. - East Meadow, N.Y.)
Coming in first for the Panthers at the Short Course Showdown was Katherine Marsh who placed third overall in a time of 18:53.2, which was nearly 40 seconds faster than the season opener on the same course, where she posted a time of 19:36.1.
Jason Beaver, AIC (Sr. - Agawam, Mass.)
Beaver led AIC's contingent at the Adelphi Short-Course Challenge as the Yellow Jackets finished second overall and first among NCAA Division II teams, completing the race in 15:30.2 to finish fourth place individually.
Peri Snow, Assumption (Sr. - East Bridgewater, Mass.)
Snow took second with a time of 10:58.4 at the CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday afternoon. She bested Division I runners from Merrimack, Siena, UMass Lowell, UMass Amherst, and Bryant.
Meghan Sheline, Franklin Pierce (Jr., Southington, Conn.)
Ran a 3K time of 11:10 to finish ninth (of 62) in the sub-varsity race at the CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday.
Katie Culliton, Saint Michael's (Jr., Glens Falls, N.Y.)
Culliton placed 15th among 139 finishers during the Adelphi Short-Course Showdown on Friday, clocking in at 19:58.0 during the 5K. She helped Saint Michael's place fifth among 23 schools.
Jacob Logan, SNHU (Gr. - Norwood, Mass.)
Logan ran to victory at Friday's Adelphi Short Course Showdown, helping lead the team to a strong third-place finish. Logan won the 5K race in 15:07.2, finishing 17 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
