NE10 Player of the Week

Zach Taylor, Saint Michael's
Junior | Forward | Hanover, Mass.

Taylor scored twice, handed out three assists, finished +3 and was 23-for-43 on faceoffs (53.5%) during a weekend sweep of Post. During a 6-3 victory on Friday, he scored while assisting a tying first-period goal, adding one blocked shot and turning in a 12-for-20 faceoff effort. During Saturday's 4-1 win, Taylor scored the game-winning goal, tacked on two helpers, went +3 and had a 11-for-23 performance at the dot.

NE10 Goaltender of the Week

Marshall Murphy, Saint Michael's
Junior | Goaltender | Little Canada, Minn.

Murphy backstopped Saint Michael's to a weekend sweep of Post, turning in a 2.00 GAA, .933 save percentage and 28.0 saves per game while yielding just two even-strength goals in a 2-0 series. During a 6-3 win on Friday, he made 22 stops while helping limit the Eagles to a 1-for-5 showing on the power play. In a 4-1 victory on Saturday, Murphy made 34 saves, as Post's lone goal came on a man advantage.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Quinn McCarthy, Saint Michael's
Freshman | Forward | Melrose, Mass.

McCarthy posted one goal and five assists while going +3 in a weekend sweep of Post. In a 6-3 win on Friday, he lent three helpers and finished +1, assisting a go-ahead power-play goal that gave Saint Michael's the lead for good in the second period. During a 4-1 victory on Saturday, McCarthy scored once and had two more assists while going +2 and blocking a shot.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Drew Benedict, Assumption (Gr., G - Cooper City, Fla.) 
In a 2-1 week for the Greyhounds, Benedict went 2-0 in NE10 action. In two games at Southern New Hampshire, the graduate student supported 1.50 goals against average and a .955 save percentage, with 30+ saves in both games. On Saturday, Benedict picked up his second career shutout as he recorded 34 saves to complete the weekend sweep. Overall, he posted an .884 save percentage with 84 saves and 11 goals allowed. 

William Smith, Assumption (Gr., F - Hyde Park, Mass.)
In three games this week, Smith recorded two goals and added an assist. In the faceoff circle, the graduate student won 60.0 percent (39-of-65) draw. On Friday at SNHU, Smith helped propel the five third-period goal explosion for the Greyhounds, as the center recorded two goals, including the game-winning goal.

Andrew Andary, Saint Anselm (Sr., F - Macomb, Mich.)
Andary went for the three points on two goals and an assist against Franklin Pierce on Friday evening, leading the Hawks to an 8-2 win in conference play. The senior co-captain skated to a plus-three on-ice rating in the contest and fired five shots. Andary added five shots in Saturday's loss to NCAA Division I Stonehill, closing the pair of games with 10 shots.

Nick Howard, Saint Anselm (Sr., G - Burlington, Mass.)
The senior turned aside 58 of 63 shots on goal, good for a 0.921 save percentage in a 1-1-0 weekend for the Hawks. Howard turned in a 32-save win over Franklin Pierce in conference play before stopping 26 shots in a non-conference loss to NCAA Division I Stonehill on Saturday. Howard closed the weekend with a 2.55 goals-against average between the pair of games.

Tim Usalis, Southern N.H. (Sr., D - Danvers, Mass.)
Usalis scored a pair of goals in the second period of Friday's 6-3 loss to Assumption. It was the first two-goal game for the defenseman.
