NE10 Recognizes 73 Student-Athletes on Winter Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2022-23 winter season on Wednesday afternoon, as the league honored 73 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their excellence in the classroom and on the playing surface. 

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution, as well as one associate member of the Conference, had at least one student-athlete named to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Bentley had a league-best 15 selections, including four or more honorees in men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving and men's indoor track & field. Southern Connecticut ranked second with 12 selections, which included four in men's indoor track & field. Adelphi and Southern New Hampshire tied for third with eight honorees each. 

Women's indoor track & field led all winter sports with 15 student-athletes honored, while men's indoor track & field had 14. Both men's and women's swimming & diving had 11 honorees, while women's basketball had 10, ice hockey had seven and men's basketball had five. 

Three student-athletes - New Haven's Camryn DeBose (women's basketball) and Kristen Washington (women's indoor track & field), as well as Southern New Hampshire's Ashley Corcoran (women's indoor track & field) - were named Academic All-Conference for the third time in their collegiate careers. Among the 73 honorees, 22 of them were also recognized in the winter of 2021-22.

Three NE10 Player of the Year award winners are included on the Academic All-Conference teams: Saint Michael's Marshall Murphy (Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Year), Pace's Sean Rorke (Men's Diver of the Year) and Bentley's Mary Huminski (Women's Diver of the Year).
