NE10 Player of the Week

Valentinna Ferrarini, New Haven
Freshman | Caxias do Sul, Brazil

Ferrarini finished another two-match week a perfect 4-0 with a pair of wins at both doubles and singles. She opened up the week with two wins in a 4-3 win for the Chargers at Adelphi, and added two more wins against Le Moyne on Sunday. Both of her doubles wins came with partner Karim Carreras at the No. 1 position, while she also picked up both singles wins at the No. 1 position. For the season, Ferrarini has a 5-2 record at No. 1 singles and a perfect 6-0 record at No. 1 doubles.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Julia Kielan, Adelphi (Sr. - Valley Stream, N.Y.)
In a crucial NE10 match against Le Moyne on Saturday, Julia Kielan -- who was honored in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony -- put the finishing touches on a thrilling 4-3 victory with a 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 decision at No. 5 singles. She also won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles at Assumption the next day, to go along with a 6-4 result at No. 2 doubles.

Paula Casares, Le Moyne (Fr. - A Coruna, Spain)
She went 6-0 in Le Moyne's 2-1 week. She won in straight sets at fourth singles against Division I Binghamton and Adelphi and in three sets against New Haven. She teamed with classmate Alicia Alvarez for wins at third doubles against Binghamton (6-0), Adelphi (6-3) and New Haven (6-3).

Alina Kupfer, So. New Hampshire (Fr. - Munich, Germany)

Kupfer went 4-0 during a 2-0 week for the Penmen, including 2-0 at No. 2 singles. Kupfer rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory against Liria Loria in a 6-1 win at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday and then posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Bree Controneo in a 7-0 blanking of Saint Michael's on Saturday. Kupfer also teamed with Verena Weindl for a pair of No. 2 doubles wins, defeating Franklin Pierce's Maria Aguilo and Aynara Ferraz, 6-2, and the Purple Knights' Natalie Meiler and Molly Gannon, 6-0.
