Southern Connecticut Looks to Defend NE10 Title.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Southern Connecticut has been selected to repeat as Northeast-10 Conference champions, according to the Men's Cross Country Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday morning.
SCSU led all NE10 teams with 120 points and 10 first-place votes from opposing head coaches, as the Owls earned the top spot in the poll for the second-straight season. Head coach John Wallin led SCSU to its second NE10 title in program history during the 2022 season.
Franklin Pierce finished second with 110 points and the remaining two first-place tallies. Southern New Hampshire (96 points), Assumption (84 points) and American International (82 points) rounded-out the top five in the poll. All 12 NE10 institutions sponsor a men's cross country program.
The NE10 Cross Country Championships are scheduled for Sunday, October 22, at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass., and will be hosted by American International College.
