NE10 Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Joseph Carroll, Assumption University
Junior | Cohasset, Mass.

Carroll led the charge for the Greyhounds at the Keene State Invitational, as he finished the 8k course in 25:32.7. As a team, Assumption finished second overall.


NE10 Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Katherine Marsh, Adelphi
Graduate Student l East Meadow, N.Y.

In a field of 36 schools, Marsh was Adelphi's first-ever individual champion at the Paul Short Run.  Winning by nearly 10 seconds, March ran in 22:08 and eclipsed her previous PR by 30 seconds.


NE10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Eric Sekyaya, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman |  Burlington, Mass.

Eric Sekyaya turned in another fine run, finishing 114th at the Battle in Beantown with an 8k mark of 26:43.5 over sloppy conditions at Franklin Park. He has now been the leading freshman runner for the Penmen twice.


NE10 Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Tess Drury, Saint Michael's College
Freshman | Richmond, Vt.

Freshman Tess Drury (Richmond, Vt.) placed second in the Purple Knights' Equality Invitational on Sept. 22, finishing behind only a runner from Division I Vermont. Drury logged a time of 31:18.2 in the rare women's 8K.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Sadadine Adam, American International (Sr., Hartford, Conn.)
Finishing 8th at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh, Adam clocked in a t 25:57.8 in an 8k run. 

Franciscah Cherotich, American International (Jr., Kapenguria, Kenya)
Cherotich took sixth at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh, completing the 6K course in 22:41.6.

Nora Conway, Saint Anselm (Jr., Stoneham, Mass.)
Conway was the top finisher for the Hawks at the Paul Short Invitational.  She finished in 30th at 23:38.9 in a field of 364 runners.  It's the third straight top team finish for Conway.

Steven Cormier, Sant Anselm (Jr., Reading, Mass.)
Cormier led the men's squad for Saint Anselm at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehihg.  Cormier clocked at 27:37.1 to capture 81st place in a field of more than 350.

Noah Taracena, Saint Michael's (Sr., Hampton, N.H.)
The senior took eighth in the Purple Knights' Equality Invitational on September 22nd as the only runner not from D1 Vermont to finish in the Top 18.  Taracena crossed the finish line in 26:22.6 in the 8k.

Kaitlyn O'Rourke, Southern New Hampshire (Sr., Braintree, Mass.)
Competing against Division I competition at the BC's Battle of Beantown at Franklin Park, SNHU senior Kaitlyn O'Rourke was the top Penmen runner in the field. She ran the 5k in 18:59.6 to finish 100th.

Carter Sylvester, Souther New Hampshire (Jr., Northwood, N.H.)
Sylvester led the Penmen at the Battle of Beantown, hosted by Boston College.  He ran the 8k in 26:10.2 on a muddy course.
