NE10 Recognizes 108 Student-Athletes on Fall Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is excited to announce its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2023 fall season, as the league honored 108 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their excellence in both academic and athletic settings.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution had multiple student-athletes selected to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.

Bentley had a league-high 14 selections, with at least one student-athlete included in all seven sports. Adelphi ranked second with 13 selections, including a league-best four in women's soccer and three in volleyball. Southern New Hampshire (12), Saint Michael's (11) and Southern Connecticut (10) were the other three institutions to have a double-digit number of student-athletes recognized on Academic All-Conference teams. 

Field hockey led all fall sports with 23 student-athletes honored, while women's soccer had 22 and both men's and women's cross country had 14, respectively. Volleyball had 13 players selected and football and men's soccer each had 11. 

Among the 108 student-athletes, 30 of them are being honored for the second time and just four are being recognized as Academic All-Conference for the third time in their careers - including Bentley's Ellie Wheeler (volleyball), Pace's Cecilia Puentes (women's soccer), Saint Michael's Katie Culliton (women's cross country) and Saint Rose's Nick Koenig (men's soccer). 

The NE10 also had nine Player of the Year award winners on the Academic All-Conference teams: New Haven's Giye Jenkins (Football Defensive Player of the Year), Pace's Krista Dietz (Field Hockey Player of the Year), Bentley's Luke Hanchar (Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year), Saint Rose's Mia Klammer (Women's Soccer Player of the Year), Adelphi's Morgan Salmon (Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year), Bentley's Claire Ewen (Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year), New Haven's Macy Brown (Volleyball Player of the Year), Franklin Pierce's Wondu Summa (Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year) and Adelphi's Katherine Marsh (Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year).
