South Easton, Mass. - The University of New Haven football team, nationally ranked in the coaches and media polls, remained on top in the second NCAA Division II Super Region One Rankings, which were released on Monday, October 31, 2011.

The week Super Region One rankings featured very little change, except for Bloomsburg (Pa.), who dropped two spots after losing this past Saturday.

Two teams join the Chargers in the top three as the only remaining undefeated teams in regional play, Winston-Salem State and West Virginia Wesleyan.

Bloomsburg (Pa.) and Elizabeth City State (N.C.) round out the top five of the second edition of the Regional Rankings.

Had this been the final Super Regionl One poll, Slippery Rock would be the last team in the NCAA Championship field as the sixth ranked team.

Southern Connecticut State, California (Pa.), Kutztown, and Shepherd rounded out this week's rankings.

The NCAA Football Championship committee will rank the top ten teams in each region (4) until the selection occurs on Sunday, November 13. At that time, the top six teams will then be selected for participation in the 2011 NCAA Division II Championship.
