Ten Northeast-10 Football Student-Athletes Named to All New-England Team

South Easton, Mass. – Ten student-athletes representing Northeast-10 member institutions have been named to the 2011 New England Football Writers Division II/III All New-England Team it was announced yesterday.

Among the players honored were the Northeast-10 Most Valuable Player Rashaad Slowley and the conference's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year in Ryan Osiecki and Shawn Loiseau.

Merrimack College and The University of New Haven led all teams as each school had three players named to the team.

Representing the Northeast-10 were American International College'sDaniel Backx, Assumption College'sNick Diantonio, Merrimack's Tony Johnson, Shawn Loiseau, and Isaiah Voegeli, New Haven's Ryan Oseicki, Bernard Risco, David Stedman, Southern Connecticut State University'sRashaad Slowley, and Stonehill College's Stephan Neville.

Loiseau, Neville, and Stedman were all repeat honorees as each of the three was named to the team last year, as well.

To see the complete 2011 All-New England Team, please see below. The team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Banquet on Thursday, December 8, at the Montvale Plaza, in Stoneham, Mass.

The Northeast-10 is an association of 16 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 5,500 student-athletes. Each year, 4,000 of those student-athletes compete in Conference championships in 23 sports, making the NE-10 the largest DII conference in the country. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the Northeast-10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
