Four Golfers from Bentley Honored for Academic Excellence.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Five Northeast-10 Conference golfers have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), for their outstanding academic success during the 2019-20 school year.

The GCAA All-America Scholars were named in two waves – recognizing Bentley's Tommy Ethier and Le Moyne's Nicholas Barney in the first set of honors, followed by Bentley's Ryan Daly, Robert Falconer and Ellis Yoder in the second set. The Falcons had four golfers honored for their achievements in the classroom.

Ethier was named the NE10 Player of the Year in 2019-20, as well as the NE10 Sport Excellence Award winner for men's golf and a PING Division II All-Region honoree for the third-straight year.

Falconer earned Second Team All-Conference honors this past season for the second-straight time, while Yoder – a CoSIDA Academic All-American – was named Academic All-Conference and Third Team All-Conference.

Barney added to his academic accolades, as he also earned the Elite 24 Award at the NE10 Men's Golf Championship last October with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.99 as a physics major.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status, a Division II individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically. Additionally, Division II golfers must have a stroke average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must have participated in at least 40-percent of the team's competitive rounds.
