NE10 Player of the Week

Tommy Ethier, Bentley
Senior | Nashua, N.H.

Ethier continued his strong start to the season, finishing atop the leaderboard for the second and third straight competitions. He shot a two-under 69 to earn medalist honors as Bentley defeated Assumption, 297-308, in a dual match at the New England Country Club in Bellingham, Mass. on Friday afternoon with his round including five birdies. On Tuesday, he finished first in the 36-hole, eight-team Bentley Invitational by a single stroke with a 69-76-145. During the three rounds, his stroke average was a sparkling 71.3.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

AJ Cavotta, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Cavotta totaled a 9-over 291 through four rounds at two events last week. Cavotta submitted his best finish of the year Wednesday at Derryfield Country Club, carding a 3-over 143, which included a 1-under 69 in the opening round, as he slotted in second, with the Penmen defeating Saint Michael's, 573-602. Cavotta was then fourth Tuesday, shooting a 6-over 148 at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club, including the second best round of the day with a 71 over the final 18. SNHU placed third at the eight-team Bentley Spring Invitational.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Sam Myers, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Colchester, Vt.)
Myers helped pace the Ravens to a second place finish at the Bentley Spring Invitational yesterday. The graduate student finished in fifth place with a 36 hole 149 (+7) including a team-low 72 (+1) scorecard.

Matt Conti, So. New Hampshire (Jr. - Walpole, Mass.)
In a pair of events last week, Conti came away with his second victory of the year and a runner-up finish, as he totaled a 2-under 280 over four rounds. Conti blistered the Derryfield Country Club course last Wednesday for a two-round score of 6-under 134, with the Penmen defeating Saint Michael's, 573-602. Conti carded matching rounds of 3-under 67 to win by nine strokes. Conti then finished one stroke off the pace Tuesday, shooting a 4-over 146 at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club. Conti tied for second as SNHU placed third at the eight-team Bentley Spring Invitational. Through four events this season, Conti has two wins and a pair of runner-up finishes to his credit.
