NE10 Player of the Week

Matt Conti, Southern New Hampshire
Junior | Walpole, Mass.

Conti shot a combined 139 and was 3-under at two different events, winning one and finishing second at the other. Conti fired a 4-under 67 Tuesday to finish first at Green Meadow Golf Club, as the Penmen defeated Bentley, 287-295. Conti followed that up Thursday with a 1-over 72 to claim second at the Granite State Spring Opener, which the Penmen won at Candia Woods.


NE10 Rookie of the Week

AJ Cavotta, Southern New Hampshire
Freshman | Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Cavotta finished third at his first two collegiate events last week, submitting a combined 143 that had him 1-over. Cavotta carded a 1-under 70 Tuesday at Green Meadow Golf Club, as the Penmen defeated Bentley, 287-295, and then shot a 2-over 73 at the Granite State Spring Opener, which the Penmen won at Candia Woods.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Tommy Ethier, Bentley (Sr. - Nashua, N.H.)
Ethier finished first of 21 in a tri-match against Le Moyne and Assumption with a one-over 72 Friday after placing fifth among ten with a three-over 74 earlier in the week against Southern New Hampshire. Overall, in the first two competitions of the spring, he averaged a 73.0.

Liam Donohue, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Vernon, Conn.)
Donohue took part in two tournaments for the Ravens this past week. At the Hartford Invitational on Monday, a tournament full of Division I golfers, Donohue tied for second place at 73 (+1). He followed that up with a tie of 10th place at the Granite State Spring Invitational shooting a 79 (+8).

Sam Myers, Franklin Pierce (Gr. - Colchester, Vt.)
Myers played in two tournaments for the Ravens this past week. The graduate student took home co-medalist honors at the Granite State Spring Invitational firing a 70 (-1) Thursday. On Monday, he tied for 16th at the Hartford Invitational producing a 78 (+6) card.

Drew Semons, Saint Anselm (So. - Danvers, Mass.)
Semons carded a team-low four-over 75 at the Granite State Spring Opener, including posting a back-nine two-under 34, tying for fifth place. The tournament was played at Candia Woods Golf Links. Semons struggled early and shot a front-nine score of 41, claiming a birdie on the par-five ninth to round out the opening nine. Semons kept on the birdie train, recording two in the first three holes of the back nine. Those birdies helped him remain four-over through 12 holes. He would then par out in the last six holes for a four-over 75. Semons also recorded a team-high 10 pars in the tournament.
