Assumption is the Defending NE10 Champion.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The 2021 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf Championship is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, at the Springfield Country Club in the form of a one-day, 36-hole tournament. Bentley enters as the favorite, accumulating the highest point total in the NE10 Men's Golf Pre-Championship Poll on Monday.
The Falcons recorded 79 points, as well as seven first-place tallies, to edge defending league champion Assumption – which posted 74 points and a pair of first-place nods. Southern New Hampshire finished with 60 points, while Franklin Pierce (58 points) and Le Moyne (52 points) rounded-out the top five.
The first NE10 Championship in 408 calendar days, the men's golf tournament will take place in West Springfield, Mass., with American International serving as the host. Live scoring will be available HERE, as well as on the NE10's men's golf championship page.
The first tee time on the 1st hole is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while the first group going off the 10th hole will start at 8:50 a.m. The awards ceremony will take place with a socially-distanced format after the final pairing has completed the course.
Bentley seeks its seventh NE10 title in program history following a seventh-place finish in the 2019 Championship, which was abbreviated to a one-day tournament due to inclement weather. The Falcons return the reigning NE10 Player of the Year in Tommy Ethier, as well as Third Team All-Conference selection and past Elite 24 Award winner Ellis Yoder.
Adelphi men's golf will not be competing in the upcoming NE10 Championship per the established institutional and conference health protocols.
Each of the past four men's golf champions have been different institutions, with Adelphi being the last team to win back-to-back league titles (2012 and 2013).
