Le Moyne with League-High Three Golfers Honored.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Seven men's golfers from the Northeast-10 Conference have been honored as PING All-Region honorees, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Le Moyne had a league-best three golfers recognized for their performance this past spring.
Spencer Baum, Nicholas Bove and Tyler Birdd represented Le Moyne among the East Region's 12 honorees. Bove was the winner of the Gordon McCullough Memorial Award for his individual medalist performance at the NE10 Championship on April 20 at Springfield Country Club, as part of Le Moyne's first league title since 2016.
Bentley's Tommy Ethier and Ellis Yoder added PING All-Region to their list of accolades for the 2021 season. Ethier, a PING All-Region honoree for the fourth-straight year, was voted the NE10 Player of the Year after he captured medalist honors at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional and qualified for the Division II Golf Championship. Yoder won his second NE10 Elite 24 Award and went on to claim NE10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Southern New Hampshire's AJ Cavotta and Matt Conti also earned recognition from the GCAA. Cavotta was named the NE10 Rookie of the Year in his inaugural season with the Penmen.
Seven honorees on the PING All-Region Team is the most for the NE10 in over a decade. The Conference produced five teams and three individuals to compete at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional at Lake View Country Club this past season.
