NE10 Player of the Week
Ryan Fillebrown, Assumption
Senior | Ayer, Mass.
Fillebrown led the Hounds on Wednesday at the Saint Rose Invitational. He finished tied for fourth place overall. He shot a 75 in round one and a 74 in round two for the top NE10 score in the tournament of 149 (seven over par). The Hounds tied for third place out of the eight teams competing, with a team score of 615.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sean Magarian, Assumption
Freshman | Worcester, Mass.
Magarian tied for eighth place overall at the Saint Rose Spring Invitational. He shot a 75 in round one and a 76 in round two, for an overall score of 151 (9-over).
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Drew Semons, Saint Anselm (So. - Danvers, Mass.)
Led by two four-over 75's from sophomore Drew Semons and Eddie Morin, the Hawks wrapped up the match against Franklin Pierce with a 306 total, four strokes off the Ravens. Both Semons and Morin tied for second place in the two-team field. Semons fired an even 35 on the front nine, recording par on every single hole in the opening nine. He then started the back nine with three straight pars before dropping one stroke on the par-four 13th. He ended his round with three straight bogies on the last three holes to post a four-over 40.
Matthew Sweet, Saint Rose (Sr. - Carmel, N.Y.)
Finished second among 20 competitors at Saturday's SUNY Bronco Spring Invitational by tying his career best with a one-over-par, 72. Shot a two-round +18, 160 to tie for 26th among 43 entries at Wednesday's Saint Rose Spring Invitational.
