NE10 Player of the Week
Cristian Reyes, Saint Michael's
Sophomore | Attack | Norwood, Mass.
Sophomore Cristian Reyes (Norwood, Mass.) had consecutive career games last week, finishing with five goals, eight assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 1-1 team performance. During a 14-11 win at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, Reyes notched two goals, four assists, two ground balls and a caused turnover. He assisted the goal that gave Saint Michael's the lead for good midway through the fourth quarter. In a 17-11 loss to No. 10 Saint Anselm on Saturday, he collected a hat trick, four helpers, one ground ball and a caused turnover.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Rocky Grillone, Saint Michael's
Junior | Long Stick Midfielder | Brockton, Mass.
Junior Rocky Grillone (Brockton, Mass.) turned in nine ground balls and six caused turnovers during a 1-1 week. In a 14-11 win at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, he collected seven ground balls and three caused turnovers before totaling three more caused turnovers and two ground balls in a 17-11 loss to No. 10 Saint Anselm on Saturday.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Matt Vavonese, Le Moyne
Senior | Goalkeeper | Syracuse, N.Y.
He registered 20 saves, a .667 save percentage and an 8.00 goals against average in Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He tallied 16 saves in a 12-10 victory over 18th-ranked Bentley on Tuesday. He then made four saves, without allowing a goal, in 15 minutes of action in a 13-4 win at American International on Friday.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Noah Gibson, Saint Rose
Freshman | Midfield | Rochester, N.Y.
Gibson totaled four goals and six assists for 10 points in a 1-1 stretch for Saint Rose. He began the week with four assists at Southern New Hampshire before recording four goals and two assists in a Saturday win against Assumption.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Joseph Duchnowski, Adelphi (Sr., A - Port Washington, N.Y.)
In a 2-0 week for Adelphi men's lacrosse, Joseph Duchnowski was responsible for a team-leading 10 points behind seven goals and three helpers. In a 14-6 win over the Ravens, he led all players with five goals on six shots on net.
Dylan Renner, Adelphi (Jr., GK - Roslyn Heights, N.Y.)
Remaining undefeated between the pipes, Dylan Renner earned one non-conference victory and one NE10 win to improve to 13-0 this season. In two games he allowed 15 goals, but posted a GAA of 8.11, and is at 6.58 overall which is first in the conference. In total through two games he collected 21 saves after facing 54 shots.
Cameron Theriault, Assumption (So., A - Westfield, Mass.)
Theriault recorded seven points on the week, as he had three assists against Pace on Tuesday before recorded three goals and adding one assist on Saturday at Saint Rose.
Luke Jaber, Bentley (Jr., A - Milton, Mass)
Jaber was Bentley's leading scorer in two games last week with seven points on four goals and three assists. He had two, goals, two assists and three ground balls as Bentley nearly knocked off No. 1 Le Moyne before falling 12-10. He then had two goals and one assist in Bentley's 11-10 win at No. 11 Pace.
Caleb Ikkela, Franklin Pierce (So., A - Onset, Mass.)
Caleb Ikkela registered seven points on five goals and two assists to lead the way for Pierce men's lacrosse this past week, which included a hat-trick performance against Saint Michael's College, and a two-goal outing against No. 2 Adelphi University. Across the same span, Ikkela additionally raked in three ground balls, and attempted 18 total shots with nine hitting the opponent net in some fashion.
Joey Pezzimenti, Le Moyne (Jr., A - Victor, N.Y.)
He registered 12 points on six goals and six assists in top-ranked Le Moyne's 2-0 week. He recorded seven points on four goals and three assists in a 12-10 victory over #18 Bentley on Tuesday. He then had five points on two goals and three assists in a 13-4 win at American International on Friday.
Jack Veres, Pace (Gr., A - Robbinsville, N.J.)
Veres played in both games for the Setters this week. He scored a career-high seven goals while adding one assist in Pace's 20-14 victory over Assumption on April 11, while also causing one turnover. In an 11-10 loss to No. 18 Bentley, he scored three goals and picked up one ground ball.
Ethan Dolan, Saint Anselm (Sr., M - Littleton, Mass.)
Dolan caused five turnovers and collected six ground balls in a pair of wins over American International and Saint Michael's. Dolan went for one and one against the Yellow Jackets before posting a career-high five ground balls and matching a career-high with four caused turnovers at Saint Michael's.
Eddie Baker, Saint Rose (Sr., A - Binghamton, N.Y.)
Baker netted seven goals and tallied three assists in a 10-point week for the Golden Knights. Baker's best play came in Saturday's 23-12 win over Assumption, where he finished with five scores and three helpers.
Ronan DePaul, Southern N.H. (Jr., GK - Elkton, Md.)
Junior Ronan DePaul made 16 saves in an 18-10 win at Saint Rose. It was a third straight win for the Penmen, and DePaul. His 57.0 save percentage ranks fourth in the NE10.
