Eight NE10 Lacrosse Programs Selected to NCAA Men's & Women's Lacrosse Championships

Four Men's Teams, Four Women's Teams Selected.


MANSFIELD, Mass. - Eight lacrosse programs from the Northeast-10 Conference qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships on Sunday night, as announced by the NCAA. The Pace women's team and Le Moyne men's team lead the group of NE10 selections as the No. 1 seeds. 

On the men's side, Le Moyne (16-0) earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the North Region after its 12-8 victory against Bentley on Saturday in the NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship. The Falcons (10-5) also earned a spot in the NCAA Championship for the first time in program history as the No. 4 seed. The Falcons will play Adelphi (15-3) who earned the No. 5 seed. Saint Anselm (9-4) also earned a spot in the tournament as the fourth NE10 team in the six-team North Region, and will face the No. 3 seeded Mercy Mavericks in the first round. 

The NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship is a 12-team tournament broken up into two six-team regions (North and South). The first three rounds of the tournament are played on the campus of a participating team, with the National Championship game scheduled to be played on May 28 at Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, Pa.). First Round games will be played on Wednesday, May 10 at 4 p.m. 

Pace (17-2) is the top seed in the East Region on the women's side and earned hosting rights for the East Region - an all NE10 bracket. The Setters will face No. 4 New Haven (11-7) on Friday, May 12. Coming in as the No. 2 seed, Le Moyne (18-2) will face the No. 3 seed Adelphi (12-6) - a repeat of this year's NE10 Semifinal game that the Dolphins won 17-6. 

The NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship provides for a 16-team tournament, with one host site per region (Atlantic, East, Midwest and South) for the first and second rounds of competition on Friday, May 12 and Sunday May 14. The winners of the second round games will advance to the semifinals and finals, which will be held on Friday, May 20, and Sunday, May 22 at the University of Indianapolis Key Stadium (Indianapolis, Ind).
