NE10 Player of the Week

Manuel Schwarz, American International
Graduate Student | Forward | Kottingbrun, Austria

Schwarz unleashed a barrage into the nets of the opposition to lead AIC to a 2-0-0 week, striking twice at Assumption and following up with a hat trick in the first 37:22 of a 3-1 win over New Haven. His five goals in the two games propelled him into a tie at the time for the NE10s lead in goals scored.

NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

Michael Provenzano, Saint Anselm
Junior | Defense | Stratham, N.H.

Provenzano was a key contributor to Saint Anselm's defense this week. The junior center-back started and played the entirety of both matches for the Hawks who posted two shutouts, including a 2-0 win over the No.9 nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday.

NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week

David Hood, Saint Anselm
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Manchester, N.H.

Hood played in net in both matches this week earning two clean-sheet victories for Saint Anselm. On Wednesday, Hood posted six saves to propel the Hawks past No.9 nationally ranked Southern New Hampshire University, marking his first career shutout for Saint Anselm. He then tallied five saves on Saturday against Southern Connecticut State to keep the Owls off the scoresheet and secure the second conference win for the Hawks.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Estevao Gouveia, Saint Anselm
Sophomore (Rookie Eligible) | Forward | Nashua, N.H.

Gouveia had a standout performance for Saint Anselm after notching all three goals for the Hawks this week. He scored the only two goals against the No.9 nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday which also marked his first career goal and brace for the Hawks. On Saturday, Gouveia posted the lone goal in the sixth minute against Southern Connecticut State to seal the 1-0 victory and help improve Saint Anselm to 2-0 in league play.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Jesper Mikkelsen, Adelphi (Sr., F - Stavanger, Norway)
Looking for their first road win of the year, Mikkelsen ended a scoreless tie in the 70th minute, scoring the game-winner in a 1-0 victory at Molloy on Tuesday (Sept. 19). It was his third career game-winner and second clincher of 2023.

Lucas Morales-Fernandez, American Int'l (Sr., GK - Amherst, Mass.)
Morales-Fernandez was strong in net for AIC in a pair of NE10 wins, blanking Assumption on the road and defeating New Haven. He stopped six shots in the wins. The victory against New Haven set AIC's all-time goalkeeper wins record.

Daniel Paulsson, Assumption (So., M - Limhamn, Sweden)
Paulsson was vital in the Greyhounds' comeback win against St. Thomas Aquinas, as he scored the game-tying goal in the 73rd minute, before assisting William Rakkenes on the game-winning score ten minutes later.

Younes Addar Khanoussi, Franklin Pierce (Gr., F - Castellon, Spain)
Addar Khanoussi scored four goals in a 2-0 week for No. 1 Franklin Pierce. He scored twice in an 8-1 win over Saint Michael's and in the close matchup with Saint Rose, he scored two more - including the game-deciding goal to help lead the Ravens to a 3-2 victory, their sixth win of the season.

Rodrigo Parafita Bestilliero, Franklin Pierce (Gr., D - A Coruña, Spain)
Through two games this week, Parafita Bestilliero tallied a goal and assist in a 2-0 week for No. 1 Franklin Pierce - while holding opponents to just three goals on the Raven's defensive unit.
