NE10 Player of the Week

Jess Knight, Southern New Hampshire
Junior | Forward | Hanover, Mass.

Knight posted 19.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 assist per game, while hitting on 71.4 percent (15-21) of her shots from the field and 88.9 percent (8-9) from the line, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Knight recorded a double-double of 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-1 FT) and 10 rebounds, to go with three blocks, an assist and a steal, in a 79-74 win over Adelphi on Wednesday. She then poured in 23 points (8-11 FG, 7-8 FT) and tallied 11 boards, an assist and a block in Saturday's 77-66 win at Pace. Knight has four double-doubles in six games this season. 


NE10 Rookie of the Week

Sydney Lusher, Le Moyne
Freshman | Guard | Oneida, N.Y.

Lusher averaged 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocks in Le Moyne's 2-0 trip to New Hampshire. She recorded 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 77-57 victory at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. She capped the week with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks in a 64-52 win at Saint Anselm on Friday.


NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Ty'zhea Hawkins, Adelphi (Gr, G - Brentwood, N.Y.)
On a tear of late, Hawkins is averaging 29.3 points per game on 61.4 percent shooting (35-of-57) from the field over her last three games. She matched her NCAA-career-high from the week before with another 32-point outing in a loss at SNHU. Hawkins made 13-of-24 field goals and pulled down five rebounds in 34 minutes of action.

Taylor Tomlinson, American International (Gr., F - Middletown, N.Y.)
Tomlinson was a force offensively for AIC, notching 41 points in two games for AIC. She shot 56.3 percent along the way, helping AIC to defeat New Haven and Saint Michael's. Impressively, she accumulated all 41 points inside the arc, averaging nine field goals per game and five total free throws made. She also collected nine boards and two steals while committing no turnovers.

Ja'Lyn Armstrong, Assumption (Sr., G - Baltimore, Md.)
Armstrong paced the No. 17 Greyhounds in their 64-31 win against Saint Michael's College with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting. Assumption is off to their best start of a season since the 2012-13 campaign. 

Maggie Whitmore, Bentley (Jr., G/F - South Portland, Me.)
Whitmore filled the stat sheet with 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block as Bentley stayed unbeaten in conference play with a 65-55 win over visiting Southern Connecticut. She made five of her 12 field goal attempts, including her only three-pointer. 

Lytoya Baker, Le Moyne (Sr., G - Rochester, N.Y.)
Baker averaged a double-double of 12.0 points and 12.0 rebounds to go with 3.0 assists and 1.0 steal in Le Moyne's 2-0 trip to New Hampshire. She opened the week with 12 points, 10 rebounds (five offensive) and five assists in a 77-57 victory at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. She followed with 12 points and 14 rebounds for her region-best sixth double-double of the year in a 64-52 win at Saint Anselm on Friday. 

Camryn DeBose, New Haven (Sr., G - Wellington, Fla.)
DeBose averaged 19.0 ppg to lead the Chargers in a 1-1 week, including scoring her 1,000th career point as a Charger in a79-51 win over Franklin Pierce. Her record breaking points came as part of a game-best 22 points against Franklin Pierce on Saturday as finished the game with nine field goals, including three from long range. She opened up the week with 16 points on the road at AIC, while also finishing the week with a combined 15 rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Katie Williamson, Southern Conn. St. (Jr., F - Dublin, Ireland)
Williamson continued her dominant play as she averaged 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds as well as a 1.5 blocks per game in a 1-1 week for Southern Connecticut. In Southern's 60-33 win against Pace, Williamson came within a rebound of her third-consecutive double-double. The second-year Owl totaled a team-best 16 points with nine rebounds and knocked-down 7-of-11 from the floor. Against Bentley, Williamson scored a team-best 11 points.
