NE10 Player of the Week
Taylor Tomlinson, American International
Graduate Student | Forward | Middletown, N.Y.
Tomlinson continued to dominate the middle of the court in a 2-0 week for AIC, scoring 47 points (23.5 per game) and shooting 65.6 percent in a pair of conference wins. She was at her best when AIC needed her most -- as the Yellow Jackets trailed in the fourth in both games, but thanks to her shooting 8-of-9 in the final 10 minutes of games, including the deciding baskets in both contests, the team won both matchups. She also contributed 14 boards (7.0 per game) and seven blocks (3.5 per game).
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Sara Macary, Franklin Pierce
Freshman | Forward/Center | Naugatuck, Conn.
In a busy three-game week for Franklin Pierce, Macary led the Ravens with 53 total points scored, averaging 17.7 points per game. Over that period, Macary started in all three matchups and shot 58.8% (20-of-34) from the floor while going a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line. Additionally, Macary reeled in nine total rebounds.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Jenna Jordan, Adelphi (Sr, F - Valley Cottage, N.Y.)
Scored a game-high 20 points on the road that helped lead the Panthers to a 59-57 win at No. 23 nationally-ranked and NE10 preseason favorite Bentley. Earlier in the week, Jordan put up a career-best 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting in a losing effort against SCSU. Finished the week with dazzling averages of 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.
Monica Spain, Assumption (Sr., F - Braintree, Mass.)
Spain recorded her first collegiate double-double Sunday evening in a 69-56 win over Le Moyne to remain perfect on the year. The Senior forward poured in 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds. She was solid on the defensive end with a game-high four steals and added a block to her stat line.
Kameryn King, New Haven (Sr., G - Old Saybrook, Conn.)
King led the Chargers to a pair of victories this week, including with a game-winning layup with 1.6 seconds left in a two-point win over I-95 rival Bridgeport. She finished that game with 12 points, shooting 4-of-8 with four free throws. She also dished out six assists against the Purple Knights. King followed that up with a team-high 18 points in her return to conference play, leading the Chargers in a come-from-behind victory over Saint Michael's. Against the Purple Knights she shot 7-of-12 with a pair of three pointers while adding two assists and two steals.
Makayla Blake, Saint Michael's (Jr., F - Colonie, N.Y.)
Blake turned in 10 points and 10 rebounds during a 55-44 loss to regionally-ranked New Haven on Saturday.
Delaney Connors, Southern Connecticut (Sr., G - West Hartford, Conn.)
In an 80-66 win against Adelphi, Connors scored a season-best 23 points, which also stood as the season-high for the Owls, with eight assists, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Connors hit on 9-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-7 from three-point range. her four three-pointers were a career-best.
Jess Knight, Southern N.H. (Jr., F - Hanover, Mass.)
Knight notched her third and fourth straight doubles, posting 18.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, while shooting 53.3 percent (16-30) from the floor and 66.7 percent (4-6) from the stripe, during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Knight recorded 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 FT) 11 rebounds and a block in a 75-58 win at Saint Rose on Tuesday and then registered 24 points (11-20 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 boards and three blocks in Friday's 62-43 triumph over Post.
