NE10 Player of the Week

Lilyen McCarthy, Adelphi
Junior | Middle Blocker | Mackinaw, Ill.

McCarthy averaged over 10 kills and four blocks per match in a perfect 3-0 week for Adelphi. She also produced a stellar .415 hitting percentage out of the middle. She put down a match-high-tying 14 kills and led all players with a .414 attack clip in a sweep of Jefferson to wrap up the week. McCarthy averaged 4.2 points per set. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Jazzy Burke, Bentley
Junior | Defensive Specialist | Lake George, N.Y.

Burke combined for 35 digs in a 2-0 week for Bentley. She had 20, one short of her season high, in a 3-1 victory over Franklin Pierce. She then had 15 and averaged 5.00 per set in the team's 3-0 sweep of Southern New Hampshire. 

NE10 Setter of the Week

Michelle Henwood, New Haven
Senior | Setter | Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Henwood led the Chargers to a 2-1 week with a pair of three-set sweeps over Felician and Southern Connecticut, while registering her first 50+ assist match of the season in a five-setter against East Stroudsburg. Overall for the week, Henwood finished with 113 assists, averaging 10.27 per set, while she also added 11 kills on a .346 attack percentage, 26 digs and a block. The 52 assists against East Stroudsburg was also part of a double-double with her adding 17 digs in the match.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Hollyn Frano, Saint Anselm
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Cave Creek, Ariz.

Frano led Saint Anselm with 14 total kills (4.67 per set) with a .462 attack percentage to help secure a 3-0 win over Assumption on Tuesday. She also registered six digs, an assist, one service ace, and a block for 15.5 points on the night. She ranks second on the team in kills and sits fourth overall in the conference with a total of 121 kills.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Alexis Distasio, Assumption (Jr., OH - Orlando, Fla.)
Distasio had a well-rounded week in three matches for the Greyhounds. She recorded 31 kills, nine aces, and 48 digs, which included two matches with 10+ kills and 10+ digs, coming on Sunday. In the home opener, Distasio logged 15 digs and added three kills against Saint Anselm. During Sunday's tri-match, she opened the day with ten kills 18 digs and added five aces before capping off her day with a season-high 18 kills to go along with three aces and 15 digs. Distasio has extended her streak of 10+ digs to six matches. 

Brandi Montoya, Assumption (Sr., LB - Aurora, Colo)
Montoya logged 66 digs in three matches on the week, which was capped off with a career-high 44 digs at Bloomsburg. She recorded 5.50 digs over the 12 sets that she played during the week, while adding three service aces to her stat line on Sunday.

Natalie Thom, Bentley (Sr., S - Okemos, Mich.)
Thom had 46 total assists in two wins for the Falcons over Franklin Pierce and Southern New Hampshire. She had a season high 26 and averaged 8.67 per set in a 3-0 victory over the Penmen. She had 20 assists and averaged 5.00 per set in a 3-1 win over Franklin Pierce.  

Macy Brown, New Haven (Jr., OH - Cadilac, Mich.)
Brown racked up 31 kills across three matches last week, beginning with a .375 hitting percentage in a three-set sweep of Felician. She followed that up with five kills and three aces in a sweep of crosstown rival Southern Connecticut in the front end of a doubleheader before closing out the day with an impressive 19 kills, while adding 13 digs and three blocks in a five set match against East Stroudsburg. 

Rilee Jessee, New Haven (Sr., LB - Edinburgh, Ind.)
The Chargers starting libero finished a three-match week with 49 digs to lead the defensive efforts in a 2-1 week of non-conference action. The senior also added 11 assists, a team-high six service aces and was successful on 56 of 57 reception targets. The highlight of the week for Jessee came in a five-set match against East Stroudsburg where she racked up 26 digs, averaging 5.2 per set while adding eight of her 11 assists.

Kaitlin Brown, Saint Anselm (Sr., OH - Glendale, Ariz.)
Brown tallied 11 kills along with eight digs and a service ace averaging four points per set on Tuesday to help secure the 3-0 sweep against Assumption. She currently leads the Hawks with 139 kills, ranked third in the conference, and is averaging 2.96 kills per set, good for seventh overall in the league.

Abigail Macalaguim, Saint Anselm (So., S - Chula Vista, Calif.)
Macalaguim registered 40 assists along with a pair of kills, two aces, and seven digs on Tuesday to cement the 3-0 sweep over Assumption on Tuesday. This marked the third match so far this season that Macalaguim has recorded 40 or more assists for Saint Anselm. She currently sits second overall in the conference with a total of 320 assists.

Alexandra Báez Rentas, St. Michael's (Jr., S - San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Báez Rentas turned in 33 assists, 12 digs, six kills on .357 hitting, and two aces in a 3-0 win at Bates on Friday.
