NE10 Player of the Week

Aleksandra Ivanovic, American International
Junior | Middle Blocker | Belgrade, Serbia

The NE10's attack percentage leader was her usual dominant self in a nine-set sweep of Post, Saint Anselm, and Southern New Hampshire, piling up 27 kills on just 42 swings to go with nine blocks, 11 digs, and five aces in three wins. She hit .595 on the week to average 4.2 points per set in a 3-0 week for AIC. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi
Graduate Student | Libero | Old Bethpage, N.Y.

In a set of 3-0 victories that moved the Panthers within striking distance of first place, Yonker failed to commit a reception error and averaged 4.89 digs per set across the three matches. She posted 14 digs in back-to-back matches against Post and Saint Michael's, and accrued 16 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Saint Anselm. In the Saint Anselm match alone, Yonker averaged 5.33 digs per set.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Alice Di Francesco, American International
Junior | Setter | Pescara, Italy

Di Francesco dished and defended brilliantly for AIC in sweeps of Post, Saint Anselm, and Southern New Hampshire, tallying 97 assists (10.78 per set), including 40 against the Penmen, and 32 digs, including 17 against the Hawks. She added two kills in each of the pair of conference matches, and aced the Eagles five times to help AIC win. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Peyton Mast, New Haven
Freshman | Right Side Hitter | Park Hills, Ky.

Mast was a major force for the New Haven offense as it went 2-0 on the week to extend its unbeaten streak and remain undefeated in the NE10. For the week, Mast racked up 18 kills, including 11 to open the week against previously unbeaten Bentley. In addition, she collected 15 digs, 14 of which came against the Falcons for a double-double. She also added an assist, four service aces and three blocks.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Noelle Alberda, Adelphi (Jr., RS - Kenmore, Wash.)
In a set of 3-0 victories last week to move the Panthers within a win of first place, Alberda finished in double figures in kills all three matches. She averaged 3.67 kills per set and hit at a .367 clip. In a key 3-0 sweep of Saint Anselm, Alberda registered 12 kills on a .308 hitting percentage.

Perla Rosa, American Int'l (So., Defensive Specialist - Weston, Fla.)
Rosa was strong on the defensive side in a 3-0 week for AIC with sweeps of Post, Saint Anselm, and Southern New Hampshire, collecting 34 digs and dishing four assists. Her best match was against the Hawks, where she pulled 18 digs and added two aces, including one on set point in the first after AIC trailed 23-22 in that set. 

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce (Sr., L - Lockport, Ill.)
Through two matches, Schmutzler led the way for yet another week tallying 45 digs. During the team's comeback win over St. Michael's, Schmutzler recorded 32 digs and helped the Ravens win the match 3-2 in the fifth set. 

Macy Brown, New Haven (Jr, OH - Cadillac, Mich.)
Brown led New Haven's offense as they extended their win streak and remained undefeated in the Northeast-10 with home wins over Bentley and Franklin Pierce. Overall for the week, she averaged 3.71 kills per set with 26 total, including a high of 19 in a four-set win over previously unbeaten Bentley. In addition, she added 35 digs, double figures in both matches, while contributing four assists, an ace and four blocks. 

Michelle Henwood, New Haven (Sr., S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
Henwood led her team to a pair of home wins against Bentley and Franklin Pierce to stay unbeaten in the NE10 and extend their win streak to now 11 straight matches. The transfer setter finished the week with 65 assists, including 43 in the win over Bentley, while adding six kills, three aces and 21 digs. She split her 21 digs nearly evenly for the week, finishing with a double-double in both matches. In addition to her 43 assists against the Falcons, she also added five of her six kills on the week as she finished with a .556 attack percentage against Bentley.

Rilee Jessee, New Haven (Sr., LB - Edinburgh, Ind.)
Jessee continued to lead the Chargers backline as they went 2-0 on the week and remained undefeated in the Northeast-10 with home wins over Bentley and Franklin Pierce. For the week, she finished with 32 digs, including a high for the week of 19 against Franklin Pierce. She also added seven assists and a service ace across the two matches.

Alexandra Báez Rentas, St. Michael's (Jr., S - San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Báez Rentas posted 7.1 assists and 3.1 digs per set during a 1-2 week. She totaled 27 assists, 17 digs, seven kills, three aces and a block in a 3-2 loss at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday before totaling 21 assists and nine digs in a 3-0 loss at Adelphi on Friday. Báez Rentas contributed 30 assists, eight digs, one kill and one block during a 3-0 win at Pace on Saturday.

Ana Pimenta, Southern N.H. (R-Sr., OH - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
Pimenta recorded 22 kills (3.67 k/s) on .294 hitting, as well as 14 digs (2.33 d/s) and five blocks (0.83 b/s), during a 1-1 week for the Penmen. Pimenta posted 11 kills, an ace, nine digs and a pair of blocks in a 3-0 win at Southern Connecticut on Friday, and added another 11 kills, with five digs and three blocks, in a three-set defeat at American Int'l on Saturday. 

Deanne Wilson, Southern N.H. (Jr., L - Buffalo, N.Y.)
Wilson tallied up 26 digs (4.33 d/) during a 1-1 week for the Penmen. She collected 16 digs and dished three assists in a 3-0 triumph over Southern Connecticut on Friday, before recording 10 digs and an ace in a 3-0 loss at American International on Saturday.
