NE10 Player of the Week

Macy Brown, New Haven
Junior | Outside Hitter | Cadillac, Mich.

Brown racked up 62 kills averaging 4.13 per set while hitting .277 to close out a 4-0 week as the Chargers' leading hitter on offense. Among the highlights was a 15 kill effort against Pace to open up the week which also included her 1,000th career kill while her high for the week came in the last of three matches in three days when she finished with 19 against Kutztown. Also among the highlights was 17 kills against Millersville, which came on 31 attempts with just a single error for a .516 attack percentage. In addition, she added 52 digs, double digits in all four matches, to complete double-doubles in each match. She also finished with four assists, six aces and a pair of blocks. 

NE10 Libero of the Week

Deanne Wilson, Southern New Hampshire
Junior | Libero | Buffalo, N.Y.

Wilson collected 28 digs (4.67 d/s),  10 assists (1.67 a/s) and a pair of aces (0.33 sa/s) during SNHU's 2-0 week. She tallied 16 digs, seven assists and an ace in a three-set win against Assumption and added 12 digs and three assists in a 3-0 sweep of Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Alice Di Francesco, American International
Junior | Setter | Pescara, Italy

Di Francesco dished brilliantly during AIC's two matches on the road, handing out 87 assists in nine sets and also playing stellar defense with 35 digs and four blocks. She added five kills as well to further aid AIC's offense. 

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Grace Juergens, New Haven
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Lockport, Ill.

The second leading hitter for the Chargers last week, Juergens racked up 45 kills for an average of 3.00 per set in a 4-0 week for New Haven. In addition, she added 46 digs with double figures in three of the matches, completing a double-double in two of the four matches on the week. She also added six assists, three aces and a pair of blocks.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll 

Aleksandra Ivanovic, American Int'l (Jr., MB - Belgrade, Serbia)
Ivanovic was once again a force for AIC, racking up 29 kills on 52 swings and adding an additional dozen blocks across two matches for the Yellow Jackets. 

Ingrid Murphy, Bentley (Gr., OH/DS - Cotuit, Mass.)
Murphy became the ninth player in school history to reach 1,000 career kills during Bentley's win over Southern Connecticut. She totaled 29 kills between the Falcons' three wins this week, averaging 2.64 kills per set.

Michelle Henwood, New Haven (Sr., S - Guaynabo, Puerto Rico)
Henwood collected 143 assists as she led the Chargers to a 4-0 week including a three-set sweep of Pace to open up the week The Chargers' setter had her team hitting at a .263 clip with three of those wins coming in three straight days. In addition to her 143 assists, she added a dozen kills and 44 digs to go along with four service aces and five total blocks.

Brielle Jones, Pace (Gr., OH - Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)
Jones was a key piece in Pace's five set win over Bridgeport, registering 16 kills and 24 digs. In the Setters' setback against New Haven, she supplied 12 digs and nine kills. 

Hollyn Frano, Saint Anselm (Fr., OH - Cave Creek, Ariz.)
Frano registered a season-high 18 digs during Friday's 3-1 conference victory over The College of Saint Rose along with 13 kills, two aces, and a block. She leads the conference with 54 total aces, ranking third nationally in Division II, and she is third in the conference with 207 total kills.

Alexandra Báez Rentas, St. Michael's (Jr., S - San Juan, Puerto Rico)
Báez Rentas averaged 8.6 assists and 5.0 digs per set in a 3-2 win over Saint Rose on Saturday, totaling 43 assists, 25 digs and six kills on the day. Saint Michael's trailed 11-6 in the fifth set before Báez Rentas served out the final six points of a 7-0 run, giving her team a 13-11 lead it never relinquished. 

Madelyn Avery, Saint Rose (Jr., DS - Mayfield, N.Y.)
Avery lifted 23 and 24 digs, respectively, in weekend contests at Saint Anselm and Saint Michael's. Avery also distributed six assists and recorded an ace across the Golden Knights' nine sets.

Teresa Moulder, Saint Rose (So., MB - Wantagh, N.Y.)
Moulder averaged 3.78 kills in two matches this week for Saint Rose. She started with 11 kills at Saint Anselm in the middle of the week before posting a career-high effort of 23 kills in a five set battle at Saint Michael's on Saturday. She also added four blocks and four digs to her weekly total.

Ella Koelb, So. New Hampshire (So., S – Auburn, N.H.)
Koelb racked up 61 assists (10.17 a/s), to go with six kills (1.00 k/s), three aces (0.50 sa/s), 13 digs (2.17 d/s) and four blocks (0.67 b/s) during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Koelb dished 27 assists and added a pair of aces and nine digs in a three-set win over Assumption, before handing out 34 helpers and filling the stat sheet with three kills, an ace, four blocks and four digs in a 3-0 victory versus Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

Dai Thawnghmung, So. New Hampshire (Gr., OH – Lowell, Mass.)
Thawnghmung tallied 22 kills (3.67 k/s) on .340 hitting, while adding 15 digs (.250 d/s) and six blocks (1.0 b/s) during a 2-0 week for the Penmen. Thawnghmung posted 11 kills, five blocks and digs in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Assumption before coming up with another 11 kills (.429), nine digs and a blocks in a three-set win Saturday versus Franklin Pierce.
