NE10 Player of the Week

Macy Brown, New Haven
Junior | Outside Hitter | Cadilac, Mich.

Brown led the Chargers hitters in a three-match week with 49 kills for an average of 4.45 per set. Included in her offensive numbers was a season-high 24-kill performance against Bridgeport, while she added 15 against Saint Anselm and 10 against Saint Michael's. In addition to her offensive numbers, she added 31 digs, finishing one match with a double double, while adding two service aces to her points for the week.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Jamie Yonker, Adelphi
Graduate Student | Libero | Old Bethpage, N.Y.

Closing out the regular season, Jamie Yonker averaged 5.20 digs per set in a 3-2 victory against Bentley University. She totaled 26 digs alongside seven assists while maintaining her spot atop the dig leaderboard with 475 over 28 games.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Michelle Henwood, New Haven
Senior | Setter | Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

The Chargers setter finished a three-match week with 129 assists, averaging 11.73 per set across three matches and 11 sets. Included in those numbers was a season-high 54 assists, just her second 50+ assist performance of the season. She added 34 digs, six kills, one service ace and three total blocks. Included in her 34 digs were a pair of double figure matches, completing double doubles in both.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Carissa Michel, So. Conn. St
Freshman | Outside Hitter | Winterhaven, F.L.

Michel recorded her fourth double-double of the season against Saint Anselm, with 14 kills, 15 digs and two service aces. Against Saint Michael's, the first-year had 11 kills, nine digs, a team-best of three blocks and an assist. Michel recorded 2.78 kills per set, 2.67 digs per set and racked up 31 points this week for the Owls.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Aleksandra Ivanovic, American Int'l (Jr, MB - Belgrade, Serbia)
Ivanovic closed the regular season with a pair of strong showings, with 16 kills on 26 swings to go with seven blocks, hitting .500 for the week in six sets and averaging 3.6 points per set.

Alice Di Francesco, American Int'l (Jr, S - Pescara, Italy)
Di Francesco dished out 60 assists and added 14 digs and a pair of blocks in six sets for the Yellow Jackets to average 10 assists per set in the regular season's final week. She ends the 2023 regular season with 435 assists, 10.61 per set, which tops in the league.

Perla Rosa, American Int'l (So, Defensive Specialist - Weston, F.L.)
AIC's sophomore libero was strong across six sets, averaging 3.67 digs per set, including piling up 15 in a sweep of Assumption to close the regular season. She also added a pair of aces on the week.

Noelle Alberda, Adelphi (Jr., RS - Kenmore, WA)
With an average five kills per set, Noelle Alberda posted a new career-high 25 kills as the Panthers defeated Bentley in five to close out the regular season. With over 50 attempts, the Washington native only committed four errors all game to post a .389 hitting percentage in the win.

Brenna Valsted, Adelphi (Graduate Student, S - Louisville, K.Y.)
Valsted paced an offense that hit just under .250 as a team in a five-set victory against Bentley, accounting for 48 assists. Her 9.60 assists per set this week moved her into fourth in the conference for the season, at 8.69. Additionally she chipped in 25 digs for her sixth double-double this season.

Ellie Wheeler, Bentley (Sr., OH/RS - Olathe, KS)
Wheeler put up 14+ kills for fourth time in her last five outings... she came up one kill shy of matching her season high.

Rilee Jessee, New Haven (Sr, LB - Edinburgh, Ind.)
Jessee finished the week with 49 digs, averaging 4.45 per set across 11 sets and three matches on the week. Her high for the week came in a five-set match at Bridgeport where she finished with 23 digs, while she added 18 in a three-set sweep of Saint Anselm. She added 11 assists and a team-high six service aces, three of which came in a sweep of Saint Michael's, and the lone she had against Saint Anselm the day before gave her 100 total for her career.

Peyton Mast, New Haven (Fr, RS - Park Hills, K.Y)
Mast led a trio of freshman hitters with 26 kills across three matches, with nine each against Bridgeport and Saint Anselm and eight more in a sweep of Saint Michael's. Her 26 kills on the week came on a .232 attack percentage, while she added two service aces, 16 digs and five total blocks.

Madelyn Avery, Saint Rose (Jr, DS - Mayfield, N.Y.)
Avery averaged 4.14 digs per set (29 total) in seven sets of action for Saint Rose this weekend. Her best play came in Saturday's 18-dig effort to help the Golden Knights defeat Southern New Hampshire in straight sets.

Julia Cavalcanti, Saint Rose (Jr., MB - Vineyard, UT)
Cavalcanti averaged 3.43 kills per set on a .420 percentage this week for Saint Rose, including a season-best effort of 16 kills in Saturday's sweep versus Southern New Hampshire. She also totaled eight blocks, lifted two digs, and served an ace over the final week.
