NE10 Finalists Dolphins & Hawks Both Selected
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Northeast-10 Champion Le Moyne and NE10 Runner-Up Saint Anselm have been selected to compete in the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship, which will get underway with first round action on May 14 at regional host Mercyhurst University.
The Dolphins earned the top seed in the five-team North Region following their 9-4 victory over Saint Anslem in the NE10 Championship on Saturday. They get a bye to the second round and will play on May 16 at 1 p.m. against the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchup.
No. 5 seed Saint Anselm (12-1) makes its first appearance in the men's lacrosse championship, where the Hawks will square off against No. 4 Seton Hill who is 11-2, on Friday at 4 p.m. The Griffins fell to No. 3 Mercyhurst in the G-MAC Championship on Saturday. Mercy also earned a spot in the championship as the No. 2 seed.
Lenoir-Rhyne earned the top seed in the South Region.
First round action takes place on May 14, followed by quarterfinals games on May 16. The regional final is May 23. All games in the North Region will be played at Mercyhurst University's Saxon Stadium. This year's Regional Champions will advance to East Hartford, Connecticut for the championship game at Rentschler Field, which will be played at 1 p.m. Eastern time, Sunday, May 30, and shown via web stream on NCAA.com.
