34 NE10 Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes Named USILA All-Region
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has released its All-Region selections, highlighted by Le Moyne's Matt Hutchings and Pace's Dan Lewis who were honored respectively as the North Region Offensive Player and Defensive Player of the Year.
The duo were two of the 34 All-Region selections from the NE10, including ten of the 16 First-Team selections. Le Moyne led all NE10 programs with ten selections while NE10 Runner-Up Saint Anselm had a school-record nine. Adelphi added seven while Pace and Bentley had four apiece.
Hutchings was honored as the 2021 NE10 Player of the Year earlier this season and has 15 goals and 21 assists in nine games this season. He is coming off an impressive three goals and four assists in a win over Saint Anselm in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Lewis, meanwhile, was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year. He led the NE10 with 36 caused turnovers while also grabbing 37 ground balls with a pair of goals.
In addition to Hutchings, Adelphi's Nicolas Racalbuto was a first-team selection at attack. On defense, Lewis was a first-team honoree alongside Justin Napolitano of Adelphi and Le Moyne's Nate Arnold. Also earning first-team recognition was Saint Anselm's CJ Hart (Goalkeeper), Adelphi's Sean McGovern (LSM), Le Moyne's Ben McCreary (M), Pace's Anthony Caputo (M) and Bentley's Connor Baughan.
