Nine Women’s Lacrosse Players Named Preseason All-Americans

Le Moyne's Paige Crandall Selected as Preseason Goalie of the Year.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – Six different women's lacrosse programs around the Northeast-10 Conference – led by reigning Southwest Division champion Le Moyne - were represented when USA Lacrosse Magazine selected its 2022 Division II Preseason All-Americans in mid-December.

Nine women's lacrosse players from the NE10 earned Preseason All-American status, highlighted by Le Moyne's Paige Crandall, who was named USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Preseason Goalie of the Year. The Dolphins tallied a league-high four selections to the Preseason All-American teams.

Crandall, also a First Team selection, established herself as one of Division II's best in her first season as a starter in 2021. She posted a 6.13 goals against average, third-best among DII goalkeepers. Crandall allowed just 72 goals in 14 games, finishing with a .574 save percentage – good for second-best in the country.

Le Moyne attacker Erin McMullen, the NE10's Southwest Division Attacker of the Year, joined Crandall as a First Team choice on the Preseason All-American team. McMullen was named an IWLCA First Team All-American following the 2021 season.

Franklin Pierce's Savannah Ernst, the NE10's Northeast Division Attacker of the Year, earned a place on the Second Team with Le Moyne's Sydney Meagher, the Southwest Division Midfielder of the Year, and New Haven's Marina Skelly. All three were NE10 First Team All-Conference in 2021.

Third Team selections for Preseason All-American included Adelphi's Christina McCabe, Le Moyne's Savannah Fish, Pace's Jennifer Sommer and Stonehill's Emma Sullivan.

USA Lacrosse Magazine announces its 2022 Division II Women's Preseason All-Americans as part of the magazine's coverage leading into the upcoming spring season. The Preseason All-American teams consist of three teams and 39 student-athletes.

NE10 programs will begin the 2022 season in February, with conference play starting in March.
