Three Men's Teams, Three Women's Teams Selected.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Six lacrosse programs from the Northeast-10 Conference qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships on Sunday night, as announced by the NCAA. The Stonehill women's program and Adelphi men's program - the newly-crowned league champions - highlight the group of NE10 selections.

Stonehill (17-2) is the top seed in the East Region after beating Le Moyne in an overtime classic in the NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship on Sunday. Joining the Skyhawks in the East Region are No. 2-seeded Adelphi (16-2) and No. 3-seeded Le Moyne (15-5) - two NE10 teams that battled in overtime themselves in the NE10 Championship semifinals.

The NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship provides for a 16-team tournament, with four sites hosting first and second round competition on Friday (May 13) and Sunday (May 15). The winners of the second round games will advance to the semifinals and finals, which will be conducted on Friday, May 20, and Sunday, May 22.

On the men's side, Adelphi (14-1) earned the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the North Region after its 9-2 victory against Le Moyne on Saturday in the NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship. The Dolphins (14-3) also earned a spot in the NCAA Championship as the No. 3 seed, while Saint Anselm (10-5) was seeded at No. 6. The first round game between Le Moyne and Saint Anselm will be the fourth postseason meeting in the past two seasons for those programs (Le Moyne holds 3-0 advantage).

The NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship provides for a 12-team tournament. Six teams from each of the two regions (North and South) are selected, with all but the championship game played on the campus of a participating institution. First-round competition is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11. The quarterfinals are on Sunday, May 15, with the semifinals on Sunday, May 22. The NCAA Championship game will be played on Sunday, May 29, at Rentschler Field (East Hartford, Conn.).
