NE10 with Six Schools in Top 100 of LEARFIELD Winter Standings

SNHU Ranked League-Best at No. 38.


MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had all 12 of its member institutions ranked in the winter standings of the 2023-24 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup, which is a metric used to award points based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. The updated standings were announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Thursday. 

As a conference, the NE10 is tied for fifth in Division II in the total number of schools included in the rankings (12). The NE10 had two schools achieve Top 50 status, including Southern New Hampshire - which was ranked No. 38 with 238.0 points. Franklin Pierce came in at No. 48 with 205.5 points. Overall, the Conference had six institutions in the Top 100. 

Joining Southern New Hampshire and Franklin Pierce in the Top 100 were Bentley (No. 68), Adelphi (No. 77), Southern Connecticut (No. 79) and Saint Michael's (No. 99). 

Southern New Hampshire's biggest earing sport was men's basketball with 73.0 points, following its eighth trip to the NCAA Elite Eight in program history. Franklin Pierce scored 40.5 points in men's indoor track & field behind a third-place finish from Stephen Harris in the 200m finals. Additionally, Saint Michael's earned a league-high 118.0 winter points - including 64.0 in men's basketball after advancing to the NCAA East Region final. For women's basketball, both Assumption and Bentley earned 50.0 points, while Southern Connecticut earned 42.0 points in women's swimming behind an Honorable Mention All-America honor for Justice Glasgow

Assumption (No. 114), Saint Rose (No. 126), New Haven (No. 165), American International (No. 191), Pace (No. 191) and Saint Anselm (No. 191) were also recognized on the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Winter Standings.
