SNHU Named Top Seed; Assumption Earns Automatic Qualifier, Ranks No. 5 in East Region.
MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference had six men's golf programs and one individual selected to participate in regional competition of the NCAA Division II Championship, as announced on Friday night. The Atlantic/East Regional will be conducted from May 5-7 at the Ravenwood Golf Club (Victor, N.Y.), with Le Moyne and Rochester Sports serving as host.
Southern New Hampshire and Le Moyne earned the top two seeds, respectively, in the East Region. Assumption, the 2021 NE10 champion, was selected as the No. 5 seed, with Bentley (No. 8), Franklin Pierce (No. 9) and Saint Anselm (No. 10) also qualifying.
Additionally, American International's Li Su will compete as an individual in NCAA regional play.
Tournaments will be played at four regional sites, with the Atlantic and East Regions being paired. The entire NCAA field includes 80 teams and 32 student-athletes competing as individuals. At a minimum, the top three teams and top two student-athletes from each regional will advance to the finals on May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Mich. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven.
